    This walkthrough was created using Build 14 Beta 4 it may differ from other versions of the game.

    Starts in Bridgetown, Barbados – You need your ship in Bridgetown Port not at a beach. The citizens can give you information about the Apothecary

    To find the Apothecary – exit the Port – go up steps in front of you – turn left & go up steps to Apothecary’s door.

    Talk to Apothecary – Ask if he needs a good captain – he asks you to make donation to church – Agree – or Refuse – (if Refuse you can go back later and continue depending on your next choices) - QB Update



    REFUSE:-

    Exit Apothecary – Auto walk down steps – Priest talks to you – CHOICES:-

    1) - Say No Business with Apothecary

    2) - Tell him you were asked to make a donation to the church

    3) -Fight

    1) – Say No Business with Apothecary - Auto walk down rest of steps – Mob enter & burn Apothecary shop – Priest exits and runs to church (all Automatic) – Apothecary shop now locked & your reputation damaged.

    If when Mob enters Apothecary – player runs up steps to door to stop them – hit by explosion – wake up in Tavern room – tavern girl talks to you – bring her any Albatross now - Apothecary Shop Closed – Quest Book Closed – QUEST OVER Enhanced Potions Ability remains Locked.

    If when Mob enters Apothecary – player stays where they are – not hit by explosion – Apothecary still Locked – tavern girl appears and tells you to take any animals to her (bring her Albatross now) – QB Update - Apothecary Shop Closed – Quest Book Closed – QUEST OVER Enhanced Potions Ability remains Locked.

    2) - Tell Priest about Steven wanting you to make a donation to the church – Mob leaves – can go back to Apothecary and continue Quest if you want to ( via make donation to church accept) - QB Update

    3) –FIGHT - After FIGHT – Apothecary appears and talks to you – tavern girl appears and talks to you (bring her Albatross now) - Ability – Enhanced Potions Unlocked now – Relations with England ( or nation Bridgetown belongs to ) damaged badly –- Apothecary Shop Closed - Quest book updated & Closed – QUEST OVER



    AGREE – the Apothecary’s offer – QB Update

    Go to Church next door – make a donation ( just use the normal donation dialog to start) – then go back and talk to the Apothecary – Effective Potion Ability Unlocked – then Crewman talks to you – then Apothecary talks – QB Update.

    Exit Apothecary’s Shop – Native attacking Crewman outside – Fight Native - ( if you save crewman he talks to you) – QB Update - Optional to report this to the Officer in the Prison – [not in Jack Sparrow storyline] - QB Update

    Go to the Port – Smuggler talks to you – then auto-walk – QB Update (The Collector Quest Started)

    You can talk to the Natives sitting around the Port – they will say nothing if you talk to them.

    EITHER Go to the Tavern – talk to the Smuggler – ask about opportunities – Accept or Reject Offer.

    OR ignore the Collector subquest - It will time out after two days (The Collector Quest Closed – Quest Over) – you can still continue with the Mysterious Plants Quest.

    REJECT: – QB Update – (The Collector Quest Closed – Quest Over) – you can still continue with the Mysterious Plants Quest.



    ACCEPT:-

    Get 10 bows - If you have skills Melee > 4 , Commerce > 5, Luck > 6 – or occasionally with a random chance the Natives in the Port will sell you their bow (each time you leave the location a fresh set of Natives are set

    If you can’t buy the bows from the Natives in the Port – then you have to loot them from the Natives you kill while doing the Mysterious Plants Quest

    If you talk to the Natives in the Port without the required skills – if luck is not on your side they will get angry and attack you

    You can kill the Armed Natives in the Port to get their Bow – if you attack first you will lose reputation. If you attack an unarmed one the Town Guard soldiers will attack you. (unarmed ones have a bow but no Arrows or Tomahawk – so don’t fight)

    If you kill a lot of Natives in the Port – when you go back there later they will attack you.

    Once you have the 10 bows go back and talk to Smuggler in Bridgetown Tavern – tells you where to deliver them ( time limit of 2 months) – place is random on another island – QB Update

    Go and find buyer – talk to them Accept or reject offer.

    REJECT – can go back and sell them later – within the time limit

    ACCEPT – QB Update – The Collector Quest Closed – Quest Over

    NB Completing the quest enhances your reputation with the smugglers, accepting and not completing or rejecting harms your reputation, ignoring it has no impact either way

    Go and talk to the Apothecary – QB Update

    Go to tavern – talk to Capt. Robert Cook – Captain leaves followed by Native – QB Update

    CHOICE – Follow Native YES or NO.

    DON’T FOLLOW NATIVE:-

    NB if you don't follow the Native from the Tavern to the warehouse or kill him before he gets there you can return to the Apothecary for dialogue which will reset the quest to the point at the warehouse (see below)- except you would have nothing to tell the officer in the prison.

    Go to Lighthouse Bay – on foot at night – talk to Capt Robert Cook – explosion – Fight Natives – QB Update

    After lighthouse fight go back to Apothecary – talk to him – Native appears and talks - Set compensation depending on how many Natives you killed (TO BE CONTINUED see below) –

    FOLLOW NATIVE:-

    Native turns to you outside Tavern and talks

    Native runs to next section of town – then round Abbey – then to Warehouse – QB Update

    Outside Warehouse – CHOICES:-

    1) – Go and tell Officer in Prison - [not in Jack Sparrow storyline]

    2)– enter through Front Entrance (door in front of you)

    3) - enter through Back Entrance

    4)– enter through Mansion

    1) – Go and tell the officer in the Prison about the Natives before entering the Warehouse - [not in Jack Sparrow storyline] - QB Update – Go back to Warehouse – Warehouse empty - Go to Lighthouse Bay - see below

    2) – Front Entrance

    Attacked by Natives – If you saved the crewmember earlier stay alive long enough for Crew to arrive and rescue you - Crew Member talks to you – Crew fight Natives - Be careful not to hit crew when fighting or they will attack you – Crew are Immortal (at Arcade level) – when all Natives dead Crew Member talks to you - QB Update – Crew leave -

    If you did not save the crewmember you are on your own!

    Loot Corpses – find note on Native body – Read Note - QB Update (The Indian Treasure Quest started )

    Search around the Abbey for the Treasure – it is randomly placed – need a spade to dig it up – QB Update

    Go and talk to the Apothecary – QB Update ( Indian Treasure Quest Closed )

    3) - Back Entrance

    Go left through the archway – down slope and up steps on right – challenged by Native – QB Update

    4) – Enter through Mansion

    Go left through the archway – enter through door under steps on your right – go through the Mansion (upstairs) and out into town – down steps and enter Warehouse by door on the right – Auto-walk – listen to Natives talk – longer you listen - greater chance of being discovered – Sneak out – Auto Walk – QB Update

    Go and tell the officer in the Prison about the Natives [not in Jack Sparrow storyline] - – If have Indian Treasure it is evidence and will be confiscated. QB Update

    If discovered – Fight – Loot Corpses – Read Note - QB Update (The Indian Treasure Quest started )

    Search around the Abbey for the Treasure – it may be randomly placed depending on your earlier choices – need a spade to dig it up – QB Update

    Go and talk to the Apothecary – QB Update ( Indian Treasure Quest Closed )

    Optional - Go to Grey Rock Bay at Night (within two nights)– 2 men there – talk to you – QB Update - ( Thomas O’Reily the Smuggler Quest Started)

    Go to Tavern and talk to Smuggler about T O’Reily – QB Update - ( Thomas O’Reily the Smuggler Quest Closed)

    NB completing this quest enhances your reputation with the smugglers



    Go to Lighthouse Bay at Night by land – talk to Capt Robert Cook - Auto walk follow Capt.Robert Cook down beach - TELEPORTED to CARTAGENA PORT -(20 days game time)

    (if you sail or go in daylight– explosion – Fight Natives – QB Update - Go back to Apothecary – talk to him – Native appears and talks - You will be set a level of compensation depending how many Natives you killed)

    At Cartagena Port – Capt. Robert Cook talks to you on jetty

    Go through Cartagena looking for begging Natives sitting on ground – talk to one of them – QB Update

    Go to Cartagena Hotel

    Can go back to Capt. Robert Cook on Cartagena jetty (ie to give up quest)- TELEPORTED to Bridgetown Port (20 days game time) Go back to Apothecary – talk to him – Native appears and talks –You will be set a level of compensation depending how many Natives you killed QB Update

    Talk to Dusty Broome. He wants your help to get rid of unwelcome guests. Ghosts who will not leave without their lost possessions. – >

    The items relate to the former occupation of the ghost in question.

    Dusty talks about ghosts plural.

    The items are their own, lost somewhere in the hotel rooms which they will recognise and take from you if you enter their room carrying one.

    A vaguely similar item from outside the hotel will not placate them eg your telescope, chronometer etc are not acceptable.

    You cannot solve one room without visiting others

    You need to find the way from room to room

    The ghost warning on first entry gives you one chance to thoroughly search the room unmolested

    Examine everything, watch for icons

    Later if you are carrying one of their items you are safe on that visit.

    If you solve the puzzle and evict the ghosts talk to Dusty Broome again. He will accompany you to Bridgetown. Go back to Capt. Robert Cook on Cartagena jetty. Talk to Cook about returning.

    TELEPORTED to Bridgetown Port (20 days game time)

    Cook speaks and departs. Dusty speaks gives you the plants and departs
