    As to the breaking sword, all you have to do is hit the "1"key (top row not numeric) and the game will autoequip the best (by damage not condition) sword in your inventory.     You can add bombs back to the game and still use real cannons. Just go to PROGRAM/STORE/Goodsint and find the entry on bombs. There's a true/false line about their being sold, just change it. Note that their damage has been greatly increased because they were modified to be fort weapons only.

    I'm not even sure what this thread is about... You can set ALL the ships to luggers in buildsettings if you want, it's all a matter of taste. Personally I replaced all the starting ships with class 3 and 2 ships and start new games with my character at 10th level because I've played through it...
