What Other PC Games Does Everyone Play?

I had a funny moment in Calradia Rising when trying to shoot a enemy amongst my army and then when I locked the right spot/angle to shoot him I fired the arrow and suddenly one of my cavalry ran in front of me arrow and got shot down off the horse. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" /> Damn.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> He shouldn't have tried to kill that enemy that I was trying to shoot. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I've killed piles of my own guys doing that. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Marnid's my main victim - he always gets in the way. Stupid idiot. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

That javelin is awesome (I sometimes use it in that Pelop..something War mod).. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> Too bad it's inaccurate and you don't have enough of them to throw a whole horde into death. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

It's a pity the thrown weapons skill isn't better at the start, and it takes ages to get it up high enough to make things like the javelin or thrown axes to have good accuracy. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> The javelin is part of the original game, so it's usually in every mod. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> Rise of Khergits cranks all your weapon skills way up, and makes getting a head shot on a guy half way across the map possible. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Bow and crossbow is nowhere near awesome but taking out fellas with a 2/3 meters long spear is awesome. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> It feels like I'm hunting a frikkin' mammoth. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" /> I should really try those throwable axes and knives too. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Obviously, you haven't come across Kaiser Wilhelm's Boomcannon yet. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> One shot'll take out an entire line of cavalry. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

The thrown axes are awesome. Best place to try them out is at tournaments held in Khergit cities, as you'll usually be using thrown or bow weapons in the events.

Boomcannon? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> You could post a picture or two.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

<!--quoteo(post=296970:date=Jan 13 2009, 09:14 PM:name=Stallion)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Stallion @ Jan 13 2009, 09:14 PM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=296970"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Yeah, the tank is easy to flip. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Well, there's always the Battlefield SinglePlayer site: <a href="http://battlefieldsingleplayer.planetbattlefield.gamespy.com/" target="_blank">http://battlefieldsingleplayer.planetbattl...ld.gamespy.com/</a> . It's got loads of single player maps for every game in the series, but I've never tried any of 'em. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I really should, though - the standard maps get old pretty quick.

I only play on cracked servers online - they usually run better. They're buggers to find nowadays, though - EA is into shutting them down. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I only played a multiplayer BF1942 game for the first time a few months ago - other than that, I've stuck with singleplayer. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> You get to see some pretty wacky stuff in singleplayer, but then again, launching a jeep into a passing plane is something I've only ever seen online. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I wonder if there are any other games like that but what actually HAVE a storyline and where ya can drive with tanks but can also come out of them.. I liked watching my tank driving past the camera when I had Battlefield in the computer (I like moving threads effect <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":8q" border="0" alt="8q.gif" />) and I also like that with joystick you can go in different speeds.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> too bad GTA doesn't have that luxury of going slower by using a joystick. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Also a thing why I don't like GTA. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" />

Apart from tanks.. I'm still downloading that SW: Battlefront, well.. had to stop the download temporarly so not to overload my connection (which is sucky at moment) so I could post stuff here. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

It looks something like a towed Howitzer. And no, you have to find out which mod it's in. I ain't tellin' ya. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> And, yes, it can be used during castle sieges. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

You can get the tank to go slower in GTA by using the handbrake. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> You just have to quickly tap it. I prefer the fire truck for rampaging, though. It's fun knocking people flying with the water cannon. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> The tank in GTA: San Andreas has a movable turret, unlike the one in Vice City. Best place to get yourself a tank early on is Area 63, provided you aren't spotted... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

What mod is it!?! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

What about Call Of Duty series? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Doesn't it have usable tanks in it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Btw after seeing that picture from Silent Hunter IV in "Funny Pictures" thread made me to want to play Silent Hunter IV.. too bad I don't have my new rig yet. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

My lips are sealed. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" />

Don't know. I've never played anything in the series. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

Patience, grasshopper. The time will come. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/slap.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":slap" border="0" alt="slap.gif" />

I think I'll need to get a better joystick if I ever want to try IL-2 Sturmovik again.. good grief how much that joystick sucks. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> Takes forever to get that thing's centre point and even then it's a bi**h. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" /> Stallion do you know any good joysticks that actually HAVE a centre so I don't have to set my plane horizontal all the time. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

In order of importance to me:)(Though I dont necessarily play them I still work on the ones with the brackets beside it. and no i dont spend my life on these things, i just do the odd bit now and then cos its good for the grey cells! ;:)

holy crap... some of those levels in RotK sure make you wanting a bit of a breather after you've finished them. 'Minas Tirith: top of the wall' is friggin' awesome. you're knocking off seige ladders, killing orcs, defending the gondorians fighting by your side, and then comes the fun part: seige towers. you can take command of the city's catapults and their crew. every crewman has his animation, which makes it a joy to watch them work the machinery and send fiery death to the towers. occasionally you'll get attacked by a ringwraith, that you have to fend off by shooting him a bit.

I've got an old MS Sidewinder - works great, but they're all but impossible to find nowadays. I bought it at a pawn shop, of all places. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Some of my friends have Saitek joysticks - they're really nice and responsive, but the price of them, at least here, is goofy. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> Some of them, though, have force feedback.

If you ever happen to be in the market for a steering wheel, I'd suggest Logitech's MOMO - if you can find it. It's got force feedback, a shifter, and pedals, and was designed by the company that makes wheels for Ferrari and Indy cars. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

just discovered how those combo's work the easiest. this'll be fun. Aragorn apparently has a habit of fighting with his fists and then finishing with a sword slash. no rules there, just kick the orc in the nads. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Midtown Madness 2...now there be some good memories! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> Never could get it working right on anything with a Nvidia card, though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> That was the game I got my grandma addicted to. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> She'd purposely run over cops, then drive like crazy to get away, whilst yelling Gaelic taunts at them. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Was better than playing the game myself. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> Just wish the game disc hadn't broke in two. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Ouch <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

i still have that game, i think. might be the first one though.... gameplay's pretty screwed. how the hell are you supposed to win the best car if you have to race against it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> it's twice as fast as the best car you have at that point!
