another fun one i saw was one where gandalf prods an enemy on his staff, lifts him up, and then stabs him with his sword. this is especially funny when that very enemy was running straight at you before that. also, yay for last-minute spear throws. looks like they run straight onto it.

I've got an old MS Sidewinder - works great, but they're all but impossible to find nowadays. I bought it at a pawn shop, of all places. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Some of my friends have Saitek joysticks - they're really nice and responsive, but the price of them, at least here, is goofy. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> Some of them, though, have force feedback.

If you ever happen to be in the market for a steering wheel, I'd suggest Logitech's MOMO - if you can find it. It's got force feedback, a shifter, and pedals, and was designed by the company that makes wheels for Ferrari and Indy cars. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

The Saitek sticks do, but my old Sidewinder no longer does. It has developed a drunken lean over the years. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
 
Configuring it doesn't help.. even then when joystick is a bit up, left, right or down near the centre the game tells the plane to lean slightly towards there where joystick is or where joystick told it to go. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> That's one messy joystick for sure and playing with arrows is even worse.. it's like trying to go slow with your car in GTA. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I was in a dogfight in BF: Vietnam early this morning with a guy in a Mig. the games also fun in the way that you get so many of those moments because of trying to show off a bit too much. one of those was when we made a looping rather low above the ground for a spectacular bombing maneuver (really, loop-dive-bombing is fun. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> ). we did avoid the ground, but then we nearly crashed into a church tower. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

well, you can't really expect the thing to run on wrecky, do you? played it at a friend's house. that same friend also has the annoying habit of watching the bomb he just dropped with utter fascination instead of paying attention to where he's flying. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
