<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> never had THAT happen. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> he just gives you whatever's in that chest, you know. it's a quest item. you don't have to be a rogue though. you just have to make sure he can't see you or hear you. the only way to make sure of the first is to have something between you and him, or you should hide in the shadows if you have the ability. there's one chest, however, which i have so far been unable to get, as it's right in the light of a torch and directly behind the owner of the house, and i can't reach the torch. i have, however, discovered that you're automatically hidden in shadow when you load the game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> just a little loophole to remember.

Theft in Two Worlds is a "hit and miss" art <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> . Half the time, you're seen by others who are miles away. Of course, successfully stealing stuff is just plain cool - you crawl on hands and knees back to your hideout to stash your loot <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> .

<i>Yeah, the guy comes off an being nice and everything and then he turns vicious. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I think I read that about being in shadow when you reload a game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /></i>

well, i only find it convenient. i also found another lighting issue: if you switch your torch on (gotta figure out how he does that) when an enemy is directly next to you, he still sees you in heavy darkness, why you can see him perfectly.

as blind as a mole. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> unless he's a bat. those buggers use sonar, which really is a pain in the arse. although he can still see you a little. if you've fought at night you know what i mean. darkness effects hit probability, which is why 'cat's eyes' and 'predator eyes' is so darned effective.

<i>Had a few encounters at night. Started freaking out when I was lost in the woods and it got dark.</i> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

yeah, i started to get increasingly nervous when i saw that little sun dissapearing off the top of the screen the first time myself. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> some dungeons really are dark. Leurik's cellar is one of those places. you can't see a thing without a torch. in most dungeons, or at night, you can usually still see some silhouettes. in the cellar, everything was black. northern Tangletree forest is also pretty dark, even during the day, because of the enormous trees there. well, just imagine the enormity, but it is pretty dark.

<i>I guess it lives up to its name, Tangletree.</i> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

if you've read the fellowship of the ring, you could compare it to the Old Wood, but less dangerous, and a lot bigger.

the underground area of Grimmhold is pretty light though. hide in shadows is hilarious in dungeons like that. you keep stabbing anyone who walks past and all those guys keep running around like "WTF is going on!?" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

<i>Can't wait to try that. </i><img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" />

how to turn on the cheat mode on build 14 alpha 8 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

they sometimes notice you though. i was hiding in a room filled with archers and one of them saw me. that was one of those typical "doh!... ruhuHUUUN!" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

another very funny moment was when i fell into a sinkhole. it was pitch black, so i thought i'd light a torch.

"huh? what's going on?"

*turns on torch*
*foomp*

*HORDES of lizards around me*

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":8q" border="0" alt="8q.gif" />

....

*turns torch back out* <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

happens all the time. why do you think the number is way ahead of the topic's postcount anyway?
