The counting game

I don't know if you saw it on my last post, Stallion, but there are some copies of POTC available at Amazon. <a href="http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/104-6003428-0805560?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=pirates+of+the+caribbean+pc+game&x=0&y=0" target="_blank">Here.</a>

don't get me wrong, it's going to remain functional. i might just add some bits and pieces to the box 'n stuff. maybe a big desk fan mounted on the side (the cooling is crap, which is why i leave the casing off) possible some RAM boards outside the case with an extra casing on it for protection (no more room inside the case). i've made such things before, and they usually work just fine. maybe i'll turn the side of the case in a liftable hatch, like one of those old motorcar engine covers. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

well, i will try to draw her sometime. it would at least give you some impression of how she looks. i should have some class picture somewhere which i can use if i simply can't find the time to do it properly at all.

some of you remember that new character i was working on, which i named 'black' Jack Johnson. i've now finished his ship, which is one of those huge old galleons from the late 1500's, somehow still afloat. the rigging is perfect, though maybe looking too big. however, the looks decieve. i've drawn it from the stern, and i know the dimensions are right, but if you don't know ships like i do, it looks odd. i think i'll call the ship the black wolf. the ship is a little wonky, but i could blame that on it's age. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

@Old Salt: That's actually where I've been thinking of getting a copy off of, except I don't have any credit cards and nobody I know is willing to risk an online purchase. Visa's gift cards can apparently be used anywhere that Visa credit cards are accepted, and Amazon's customer support told me they also accept them. Now, I just have to find a store here that sells the gift cards.

@Morgan: Sounds like your computer looks nothing like it did the day it was bought! All I've done to this one is double the amount of RAM and upgrade from a GeForce 4 MX440 to a GeForce 6200.

well, the computer looks kinda cool, in a really wierd way. all the funny noises it keeps making just adds to it.

there's a chance you'll see at least one new drawing today or tomorrow. this is because i think i'll be scanning them today, but i'm not sure.

@Old Salt: Apparently not - from what I've been reading on here, there's one convenience store chain that carries them, and possibly two grocery stores and one office supply store. If you ask me, more stores should carry them as they should be something that sells quite well.

@Morgan: But are all the noises the computer's making normal? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> One of this machine's fans has developed an ominous whirring sound over the past couple of months. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> Don't know what's with that, but there's nothing caught in the fan.

<i>Unfortunately, they don't have POTC on eBay anymore. I got my copy off of there and you don't need a credit card, you could work out a payment arrangement with the person you buy it from.</i>
