sorry, got abducted to my grandparent's house without warning. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> bad timing on that one. my 'opening line' for the phone call will now sound a bit odd, i think. she wasn't in school last week. calling four days (i can't call today, and we had the friday off) after the actual incident is a bit wierd. i wish we got home two hours earlier. i might have phoned her today in that case, because i wouldn't have phoned that late then. and now phoning her tomorrow would probably not matter anyway anymore, as i'll see her the day after that. feh. maybe i will. i've scraped together the courage once before, so i can do it again.

okay, a joke like that actually made me laugh out loud this time. i usually manage to swallow the chuckle. this forebodes things. very very looney things. i just know that this is going to go really wrong.

guess what happened? i thought my computer/wreck had a virus. my mouse was selecting things all the time. i switched off my computer, twice. no good. turned out my agenda was leaning on the enter button.

i usually do. that's why i looked if there was something leaning on a key after a while. i can always expect the unexpected from myself.

*sigh* okay. let's see what happens tomorrow. something tells me that day will be significant in some way.

yes. more of a pile of outdated bits that somehow works, actually. maybe i should turn into some wierd steampunk artwork thingy.

well, good news and not so good news on the terms of me and my girl. she was genuinely impressed by my progress in the quality of my artwork, which means something from a fellow artist, especially considering that she's better than me in the manga area. however, there doesn't seem to be much progress in the starting of a proper relationship. but i think i know just the required trick.

speaking of artwork, remember that manga face i told you about earlier? it's about half done. i still need to add most of the hair and i might continue drawing the rest of whoever it is. the eyes really went well this time, though i have drawn better eyelashes before. those didn't quite come out right, though it doesn't rerally show. the artist is never satisfied about his own work. my main issue with this drawing is that it doesn't 'live'. there's no soul. i need to figure out some way to improve the realism of the eyes, which are the most important part of the whole drawing.

Good luck with the girl - I only ever ventured down that avenue once, and a move to another city quickly ended that.

The face sounds like it's shaping up good - I'd post some of what I've drawn, but I seemed to loose that ability quite a long time ago, and anything I draw now looks like absolute crap! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Alas, I'd thought I found a way to purchase a copy of PoTC over the weekend, but apparently nowhere here sells Visa gift cards.
