<b><!--sizeo:3--><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo-->New modpack update<!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec--></b>
Hello all,
I decided to release a small modpack update today, including all new bugfixes and some new features, but excluding the big new mods (AoP towns and edited Mateus Santos quest). The new update is available from <a href="http://pieter.piratesahoy.org/downloads/post_b12_upd_6-7-06_small.zip" target="_blank">here</a> (1,33 MB) and is to be installed on top of the 28 June 2006 release.
I would kindly request people try to test this update, especially the things listed below as being new/changed. I hope everything works as it should, but I apologize in advance for any errors made by me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

<b>Stuff added/fixed:</b>
- The sell loot button won't sell skill-enhancing items anymore. You can also let it sell blades you might not want by enabling it in BuildSettings.h.
- Corpses will no longer disappear while you are in a dialog, so the quests shouldn't break anymore because of that.
- You can turn off the animated interface screens in the Options > Interface Change screen.
- If you have a higher trade level than 5, you can trade with enemy traders for a lower price.
- If you capture a town, a Questbook entry will be added.
- If you find a cursed coin, something funny will happen. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
- You can't change your flag during the tutorial (to prevent trouble)
- Your officers should now follow you in all locations (also in certain locations where there used to be no officers, such as one part of FdF)
- The ammo mod was simplified. See the ReadMe about it in the <i>buildinfo</i> folder. Please test this one!
- Pressing the quicksave button when sailing should give you a notice that you can't save during sailing.
- If you sink and are put in your lifeboat, you are at a dead stop when near land (to prevent you from crashing into the land)
- If you lifeboat is sunk, you're DEAD!
- Sail damage now works properly!
- You can start as Nathaniel Nation as well. This will put you in Point a Pitre port. This function is a bit useless at the moment, because the French are hostile. However, once the AoP towns are added, it's a great way to test one of the towns straight away.
- Fred Bob is now a REAL boatswain when you hire him.
- The spacebar is now used for dialogs again, like usual.
- Several dialogs are fixed.
- Some bugs were fixed with the namechange mod. You can't accidentally close the interface while in typing mode anymore. Should save some major troubles.
- There is no "confirm" box when closing the loot interface when the looted character didn't have any items anymore.
- The Esc key has been enabled for closing the screen in several interface screens.
- The TradeBook interface has been changed: There is now space for more than 4 goods. Also: The prices for the goods are only updated when you visit the store. So if you want the price of a good, you first need to visit the store. Once you visited the store, that price will remain in the screen, until you visit again. Then the price is updated.
- Some small boarding cabin related bugs were fixed.
- The false flag detection chance calculation has been improved.
- When doing a stormy start, you won't see the tutorial cabin after the movie anymore.
- Boatswain, first mate and navigator are now default for three officer slots, so you won't need to open the passengers screen every time you hire a new officer. You still can manually change it though.
- The escape from Oxbay movie plays AFTER you have escaped from Oxbay.
- The spyglass now appears in the options > controls screen again.
- The reputation loss on boardings when enemy's blades break should have been fixed.
- All compasses now agree on what's North.
- Releasing captives should now work properly: Go to your deck when you are in a port and talk to the captive.
- Several small syntax and other errors were fixed.
