Do the Batavia1 and Batavia2 have different sets of rigging? If so, maybe its correct-ish for Batavia1?

Is that when starting a new game? Weird things can happen if you just continue a savegame with new walk files. :?It seems the Batavia walk file doesn't match the ship properly. The crew walk through the deck a bit and then they climb into imaginary masts.
Do you still have a savegame so that you can try again? I just noticed that while I DID make a fix for that, it was AFTER the Patch 7 release.....at the end of the fight for the Pearl, the ransack screen didn't stay on long enough for me to do anything before the movies started. So no Pearl for me.
I just checked the model file and she's set up to have 4 stern chasers, which are listed correctly in ships_init.c . :?Also, the last time I did this the ship I used was RN_Warship. It did not have rear chasers. I used that ship again this time and once again she had no rear chasers.
Yeah, I vaguely recall mentioning this before. I just checked again, and it looks like XX and ZZ should be -1, but true enough, are actually 1 on said ships. In order for the stern chasers to work 3 sets of numbers have to have negative numbers. The main GM has all positive numbers. This is puzzling to me because after the last time through I redid the rigging and Armada told me how to get the stern chasers working again.
Thanks a lot! Turned out that the fix DID make it into the modpack, but only for the FR_Belette which already had that done before I touched her.
I put it on the FR_SuperiorWarship and RN_SuperiorWarship now too, so that should have them all sorted.
Zero is never supposed to be negative! That's mathematically incorrect, as far as I know. Are you sure that is enough to get the stern chasers working? Look at a ship with lots of stern chasers like a pinnace. The XX, ZX, and ZZ columns are all negative for them. I have found that a "-0" works.
I tested them ingame; they work now on all three ships. Are you sure that is enough to get the stern chasers working? Look at a ship with lots of stern chasers like a pinnace. The XX, ZX, and ZZ columns are all negative for them. I have found that a "-0" works.
Thanks for that! Really that mainsail WAS ridiculous. The jibs do tend to pass through that pennant on the bowsprit, but so be it.That FR_Sloop was frustrating! Taming the main sails was easy, but the jib sails just would not cooperate, so I ended up leaving them the same as they were. She is on the FTP in my "after patch 7" folder.
Sounds great! I did correct the new number of stern chasers in my ships_init.c already, but didn't upload that yet because there's a million more differences in there. :?I got that pinnace and took a quick look at her. There are lots of new items and textures! One puzzling thing is that she is listed as having 4 stern chasers, but the upper 2 have been removed leaving holes in the stern wall. I used those holes to sight the remaining two chasers during a battle as otherwise one can not see behind at all. Anyway, 1-2 days should have her cleaned up.
Checked ingame now; much more better! That main sail still has a somewhat interesting shape, but at least it is no longer retarded! Thanks for that! Really that mainsail WAS ridiculous. So why on Earth would it need to be negative here? I noticed the ZX values were sometimes very small negative decimals, but surely they should be rounded to zero?
Does it work when ZX is just zero?
Don't worry about it; as I said, it now does not look retarded, which is good.Pieter: I could go back and raise those jib sails up above the flag but that looks silly too with three little hankies up there. That mainsail is very tall for such a small ship so it will blow around a lot.
