Hmm. Maybe sex isn't being set correctly for skeleton models. The whole disappear thing just means that there's an animation/model mismatch (you notice this when you force characters using anim "woman" to sit down--that animset doesn't exist, so they disappear).

For Euro users, all you need to do is:
Run the Runme.bat from any previous version of the build (if you haven't yet), and then install 11.99, and then set EURO to 1 in buildsettings.h

In fact, it's probably safest if you just install build 11 (which does the localization automatically) and then 11.99 on top and then edit BS.h to make EURO 1. No need to clean anything or install a new POTC folder.

The `green-flash` thing is actually normal, and a known issue. It happens _every_ time you enter the shipyard interface (and the first time you click on any other ships there), because of the slowness of the dynamic goods price calcs. It's just that if you have few goods, the delay is imperceptible, whereas if you have a full galleon, it's in the 1min range.

Re: your questions.
1. If you, via Kieron's flag menu, choose to fly pirate colors, you will have a pirate flag, yes.
2. No, not that I'm aware of.

Jason: That _is_ weird. They are however very rare, so it may just be bad `dice-throwing`. You can check by increasing the itm.rare number to 0.5 or so for the masterwork spyglass in inititems.c and reiniting, then waiting a day and checking back with shopkeepers.
 
Well, I am confused. When I open quests_reaction.c in notepad, there are no line numbers. I can't find this reference to make the change. I hate to be so incompetent, but could I get sojme help.
 
Hi Jason, line numbers will show only if you use a text editor that is meant to edit code. Notepad won't give you line numbers, unfortunately.

I use UltraEdit <a href="http://www.ultraedit.com" target="_blank">http://www.ultraedit.com</a> which is a free download but `time-limited` demo. I am sure there are other code/text editors out there that are free and will give you line numbers and search functions so you can edit what you wish...

[/quote]Yes! The Greenford siege made powerfully headache for me.
Sometimes, i could not enter the town or i was'nt able to use some potions.
But when the situation was like your description, i could fix the disapearence of Danielle whith a hit of the 'i' key in harbor after killing the soldiers. Now, when i entered the town, Danielle was also there. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />[/quote]

Encountered the same problem just a while ago and this fix worked!

We are up to 11.99E?

It took me over 5 Hrs to DL 11.99 so i have been making all the correcions to it from suggestions on this board. Three Kbps or less transfer rate is the pits!
 
This might be considered a bug although it doesn't affect game play.

Now that we can hire officers outside of the tavern, I've been able to assemble a crew composed mostly of female officers.

The bug is that they all share the same "Red Robed Monk" Pic in the passenger and Officer screens and it makes it confusing just who is who.

Separate pics for each would be nice for this build ... right?
 
Possible bug. I have noticed in buiild 11.99B, that the street vendors seem to be available 24/7 IN im. Thei awnings come down at dark but they are still there and you can do business with them.

build and JMVs military pack?

btw: build 11.99e works fine with the `euro-version` (german) without another `build-version` installed...

but now i wondering, why JMVs military pack not working anymore. some else tested it? im not sure if JMVs pack is the reason, but after i started the game an realized ingame, that JMVs `mil-pack` is not yet part of build i tried to install it (the reskined and `bug-fixed` one!).
after that the game didnt start again.....

ill reinstall tomorrow (its really late here) and try it again to be sure....
 
I nave a couple of things to report re: ships.

I am often sailing very low in the water as Cat reported. Sometinmes in first person I can't seee over the waves.

On ship money, I have set it to 0.001 and that seems to very similar to what it was in build 11.
