I'm playing this quest using alpha 9-5. My problem is that there are no priest in the Village church (Anaconda quest). So now I can't continue. Do you have a solution regarding this problem. I have updated my game every time using the patches, is this wrong, or is it better to install the game like this: Stock POTC, bulid 13 final, build 14A9 and then the 14A9-5 patch?

It was working when I tested with Alpha 9. How'd you get Alpha 9.5?
It's not officially released yet, because we're doing some internal testing on it.

I found the file in index of/ build. Who is Bartolomeu supposed to talk to in the quest? Is there some way to continue the quest without entering the church? The quest didn't work with Alpha 9 either. To be sure, where is the church? I went ashore on Boca de Yuman on Hispanola and
up to the Village.

Did you manage to get into the church yet? There was a bug with that before, but it was fixed in one of the Patches.

I can enter the church, a very beautiful place. My officers are with me, but there are no priest inside the church (father Iguaran).

I am playing this quest and am unable to get into Nathaniel's House in Charleston using Patch 5 for build 14 Alpha 9.

No padlock (open or closed) appears at the top left of the screen when I approach the door.
Has the location of the house changed?
The dialogue in the church with Sarah Roebuck is the same as before.

Everything worked ok when I played this with patch 4. The only differences between Patch 5 and Patch 4 appear to be the newloading screens for the church and the port. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
 
It seems there were some changes in Charlestown lately. But I can't help you because I didn't make these changes. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
There's a mistake with the Charlestown locators that causes this problem.
I tried to fix it and posted my modified file on the POTC Modding forum.
I have now moved that thread to the Build Alpha & Brainstorming forum.

Thanks for the files. I have used them and now the quest fails sooner.

I manage to buy the ship from the storekeeper in the bucaneer camp. Then I talk to Roxanne & Pedro in the tavern. We sail to Rocky Shore on Jamaica to pick up pirate friends of Roxanne before attacking the Santiago Warehouses.

On Rocky Shore Roxanne is supposed to talk to me. but she doesn't. The 2 pirates appear ok and so does Roxanne and they all disappear ok but there is no dialog. When I get to Cuba Roxanne does not appear on the beach at all.

I have also noticed that the full crew number for my ship is different, previously it was 93 now it is 88. Perhaps the more I play the game, the better sailor I become and the fewer crew I need. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />

Attached are the error logs if they help.
 
That is quite weird. The locator-fix is just in the QuebradasCostillas location init file, so the errors you mention cannot possibly be related to that fix. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
That "function 'OnQuestComplete' stack error" looks pretty worrisome.
And it DID work with the exact same game version before? Minus the locator-fix that is...?

I have managed to get the Rocky shore dialogue to work now. Perhaps the problem before was related to the fact that I had an extra ship ( I went back and sold the ship before going to Rocky Shore this time), or it could be that it was being tempremental about whether the 'Moor' or the 'Port/Shore' command was being used.

I have found that the game does not like the Moor command when a NPC is to talk to you immediately you land, and the dialogue only works when the Port/Shore command is used.

Another instance of this is when doing the Cutler Beckett escort quest in the jack Sparrow story, where Cutler Beckett only talks to you on the jetty at Port Royale if you use the Port command. And will not even appear on the jetty if you use the Moor command.

Anyway thanks for your help. The new files have opened the Nathaniel Hawks house in Charleston ok. So now all I hve to do is take him to Grenada and collect my reward.
 
There's a difference between Moor and Port/Shore? That IS good to know. I think many people, me included, always use Port/Shore,

I have finished the idol part of the quest. Thrown it in Martinique harbour. Roxanne has left me, and I have at last now got Juan Esteban as an officer. ( I must have killed him a dozen times before I stopped using a high quality sword and got it right )

However I can't find Henry Morgan & Edwaert Mansvelt to start the Silver Train quest. Can someone give me a clue as to where they are.

Do I have to fight zombie Nathaniel Hawk and his cursed ship first?
