So, I'm new here and I've been playing through this storyline for a while now. I'm having a lot of fun, it's an amazing makeover! Seems that Bethesda games are just made to be modded. They can only truly reach their full potential through a skilled modding crew, like you guys.
Storywise, I'm up to the point where I got the Santiago back...whoopee...
First I'll contribute some info, then I'll ask my question.
I haven't run into any game stopping bugs, which is a good thing.
I can't remember every problem I had, but most recently when I was supposed to enter Santo Domingo it was blocked...sort of. There was like a ghost town there - several buildings that I could pass through - but it took me a while to figure out they were just empty walls that could be crossed. The entrance to the city was hidden "inside" a church of sorts. I don't really know the purpose of this empty town, but "inside" a house there was a person who I talked to. He said something about farms and then a horde of black tribesmen attacked. The reason i said inside with these "" marks is that I just ran through the wall. There wasn't any open command at any door.
There were also random crashes at completely random moments in the game. For example when I tried to approach Cuba island from the world map the game just crashed.
Also there was a short interval where the game kept crashing when I boarded a ship and tried to raid the corpse of a dead opposing crew member. My game crashed a few times and then I just didn't raid any corpses during the next two boardings and things were back to normal. This was close to Hispaniola and after getting the Santiago back.
Of course the texts in the dialogue and quest book need a general make over. I understand you changed a few house locations and also sometimes there just isn't enough information for certain quests. For example when looking for Francios L'ollonais I got the impression that Bartolomeu knew him and as such I expected to know right away where to find him upon arriving at Tortuga. Of course I didn't and the tavern didn't prove useful(it ussually does so I checked there). Turns out, I had to "ask around the port" <- that's what should've been added to the quest book. Also with wounded brothel woman, the guy said she lives in the "storehouse". I kept checking the storehouse untill I got smart enough to look at the quest book and see that it said just "house", I found her shortly after.
Don't take my remarks on the texts too harshly, I meant no offence. It would be nice if you could find someone fluent in English to fix them up.
I hope this helped
Now, I told Roxanne that I'd like to delay our next expedition. I just wanted to get rid of the Santiago and get a better ship (seems strange that they praise it so much when it's really very pathetic) and now I can't find her anymore. I tried Porte o Pitre and shes not there. Did I miss a house? Is she even there? Should I just wait untill she contacts me?
