There is no super weapon to kill them all quickly. You will need to get a good sword. You should also practice fighting. Go into dungeons. Go into the jungle and fight highwaymen. Try attacking a smaller fort as practice. (When I played the unmodified game, I frequently attacked Falaise de Fleur. That earned me lots of experience and lots of money. And I became good at attacking forts.)

Do you have the questbook "Free Clement Aurentius by capturing Greenford"?
 
Press F2 and go to "Inventory". You should see information on the sword's damage, block and pierce. The higher these are, the better the sword is. The basic sabre with which you start the game is not very good. The tizona is much better. If you have completed "Strange Things Going On in the Archipelago", the sword which you took from the Dark Teacher is also a good one.

Do not bother attacking Greenford until you have talked to Danielle, agreed to attack the fort, and have the questbook "Free Clement Aurentius by capturing Greenford".
 
Probably either the sabre of Nicholas Sharp or the sword you took from the Dark Teacher in "Strange Things Going On in the Archipelago". Press F2, go to "Inventory" and check the numbers.
 
I don't know its name in the unmodified game. Press F2, go to "Inventory" and look for a sword with better numbers than the sabre of Nicholas Sharp.
