has any of you ever encountered one of those REALLY big fleets? like 15 ships or something? i've got a screenshot of one. not that many big ships, but i did encounter another fleet once which consisted of ONLY rank 1 ships. that battle lasted 3 hours. i was pretty tired after that.

rocks, doesn't it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> it presents a challenge for a change. you waste thousands of cannoballs, actually having to loot other ships because you're running out of ammo, leaving a trail of utter destruction in your wake. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" />

one battle that is truly amazing and will allways stay in my mind isn't really of much significance, but noteable because of what happened there.

i was up against a galeoth, in my bermuda sloop, being damaged from the last scuffle with some pirate scum. i was running away from him, but he was gaining on me. i actually intended to board him, if he'd run away. he didn't. he was down to fairly little hp, and as i checked by ammo supply, i noticed i had only the ones loaded in the bow cannon and two extra left. the others where already used. first shot was a miss. (the ship has a single bow cannon) second was a hit. nothing. third one, i simply could NOT believe it, hit him, and he ran away!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> how's THAT for being lucky? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

I was encountering some french scum and when I boarded the one of the french ships I found out that my boarders (some of them) were wearing a tight corset and a dress. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> Well, that was "Oh holy banana!" moment and I think those other french ships were laughting at me ..somehow. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" />
 
yes... those are the 'nathaniel' boarders, for some inexplainable reason. it's also possible to make your crew exist completely out of women. yes, it's an option, and looks absolutely rediculous.

you know, i don't like snap-day being over. it was fun to be mad.

some of the silliest battles are probably those near a cliff. those brainless opponents always end up knocking their own masts off or sinking themselves. then they surrender because they don't know what to do with themselves.

I was thinking about a Fast Caravel idea (kinda like Fast Barque idea). What I want this caravel to have is a different rigging and sails so it can sail alot more against the wind and also sail beliveably faster. I currently added some ropes between masts and changed the chess like stripe to black and white and the lion badge's background from green to black ..yes I wanna make a pirated version of the light caravel. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> I'm thinking about changeing the keel's stripe color from green to maroon (or something else what fits).

Good.. just one more question - Where do I change the thing how close the ship can sail against the wind? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
