Okay, for this one, I'll admit I had cheats on, but it's still hilarious.

I'd just begun, and put godmode on and leveled myself up to the point where I had all abilites (still hadn't left Oxbay) I was flying the English Flag, and decided not to take it down. So I set sail, and got nearly instantly de-masted by the french warships. Understandably, I was a bit annoyed and concerned due to being dead in the water, unable to move. Then I remembed that I had instant boarding technique, so I activated it on the French Battleship (rank 1) and waited for boarding to load.

Imagine my surprise, when I just walked up to the Captain, to essentially recieve the keys to their strongest warship attacking Oxbay.

So, I departed from the port in something 1 step up from a Dinghy, and left Oxbay itself in one of the most powerful ships in the french fleet!

Silehard was very happy with me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

i love that ability. but it doesn't really help when you're fighting 12 of those. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> then it's just a major grind-off.

Did Silehard actually mention your doing so? I don't think that's actually coded in.
That French captain must've been REALLY afraid of Captain Awesome in his dinghy. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="24.gif" />

Not as such. But if he was a real person, I'd bet I'd be on the honours list or something.

I was expecting to have to wade through around 3 decks of enemys... but no, the cowardly captain saw me on deck and gave up!

actually, i hate it when that happens. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> it's so anticlimactic when they surrender straight away.

Though sometimes I find it unrealistic to have to hack through every crew of every ship I board... sometimes I prefer to beat a ship into submission and see the opposing captain "strike his colours" and "offer his sword in defeat".

I read about one particular frigate duel in which, when the defeated captain offered his victor his sword, the other replied "Nay Sir, you may keep it... but might I trouble you for your hat?" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
