Things I haven't released yet

Plaka body parts? What are THOSE??? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
I meant the regular character GM model. It didn't even go gray for me. It just stayed exactly like it was. And I am pretty sure the alpha map WAS properly applied. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Typo ... palka.

Ah; the flyers! But I didn't even manage to get the character models to gray like you. And definitly no transparency. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

In the GM viewer the charactermodels with a alphachannel ARE invisible with me.

Haven't checked ingame though.

<b><!--sizeo:4--><span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo-->Young/Gentlemen Jack is released<!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec--></b>

<img src="http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l68/Thomas_the_Terror/face_358.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

The file is hosted in my FTP folder.
This contains only the resources (charactermodel, headmodel, head.ani, textures and interface pictures)

You need to add this in .../Program/Models/initModels.c:
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->makeref(model,Models[n]);
    model.description =  "Jack Sparrow as a young promosing merchant captain. Looks like a real gentlemen to me.";
    model.id       =  "47YoungJack";
    model.FaceId    = 358;
    model.nation      =  ENGLAND;
    model.price       =  1000;
    model.assigned    =  true;
    model.name = "Jack";
    model.lastname = "Sparrow";
    n++;<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

And this you need to add to .../INI/TEXTS/ENGLISH/models_description.txt
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->Jack Sparrow as a young promosing merchant captain. Looks like a real gentlemen to me.{Jack Sparrow as a young promosing merchant captain. Looks like a real gentlemen to me.}<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

Happy Newyear, Gelukkig Nieuwjaar, Gott nytt år (from the IKEA <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />),

Speaking of which... what's the model id for the Beckett character? I downloaded him off the FTP today and put the files in their respective locations... but can't seem to figure the rest out.

Thanks a lot, Thomas! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

I have "Cutler_Beckett" as his model ID. I don't actually have any initModels.c entries for him or anything; I just used him for Cutler Beckett in the main quest.

Hmmm... that's what I typed into "InternalSettings" under models for player selection. I wanted to test the model and see it, but he won't show up. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

you know sparrow's always late. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

That's odd. Unless a model must actually be defined in initModels.c for it to be able to show up in the Choose Character screen.

Perhaps that's it... Pieter, you got the code for him? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Hmmm, gives me an idea to put a late teen "Younger Jack" into the mix.
Model is smaller than adult and based on Cat's Diller.gm

nice, don't like the green though. My intention for my Younger Jack was to make a Jack just before he joined the EITC.

Therefore, he shouldn't even have his makeup, right? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

But me likes the make-up <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

LOL! Nice one, Petros! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

I don't need an initModels.c entry for that. You could make it yourself though; not so hard. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

I was thinking of that... but I'm not sure what the faceid would be...

<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->makeref(model,Models[n]);
    model.description =  "The garb of an agent of the Honourable East India Trading Company, but he may not be as honourable as he looks...";
    model.id       =  "Cutler_Beckett";
    model.FaceId    = 358;
    model.nation      =  ENGLAND;
    model.price       =  9000;
    model.assigned    =  true;
    model.name = "Cutler";
    model.lastname = "Beckett";
    n++;<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->The garb of an agent of the Honourable East India Trading Company, but he may not be as honourable as he looks... {The garb of an agent of the Honourable East India Trading Company, but he may not be as honourable as he looks...}<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

I don't like them either.
That is the only part (other than his boots) that I haven't edited/changed ... yet.

<!--quoteo(post=230399:date=Jan 2 2008, 06:03 AM:name=Kazeite)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Kazeite @ Jan 2 2008, 06:03 AM) </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Therefore, he shouldn't even have his makeup, right? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
No, the makeup is fine!
This is how he began to find his unique "identity" while still in "Pirate High School"

He would clean up a bit while employed by EITC, and go back to his "Trademark" looks after he left.

<!--quoteo(post=230425:date=Jan 2 2008, 02:20 PM:name=Commodore John Paul Jones)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Commodore John Paul Jones @ Jan 2 2008, 02:20 PM) </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->I was thinking of that... but I'm not sure what the faceid would be...<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->The faceid is for the interface pictures. Like Thomas said, there are none yet. Shouldn't be required though; you'll just have those pictures missing when using Beckett as your player model, but it'd still allow you to test him. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
