mateys, i found an absolute JEWEL just yet! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> Eschalon: book 1. it's almost exactly like Oblivion, but with a different camera angle. it really is well-made. all sounds have a distance check, music is great, very much in the style of Oblivion in fact. i don't know yet how big it is, but from what i've seen up till now, it's amazingly realistic. there are, for instance, also visual checks, so you can try to avoid the town guards to pick a lock on a door. you can also select a whole bunch of races, skills and psychology types when creating a new character, again, very much like Oblivion. this one's definately worth checking out. combat, unfortunately, is also the same as in Oblivion though. atmosphere in the game is awesome.

graphics aren't that bad either. better than diablo II in some cases. your character's appearance depends on your equipped items. this game has a huge amount of work gone into it. now i'm trying to get a proper crack for it, which is a little tricky, as i have to reinstall the entire game for that, by the look of things.
