Screenshots thread

@Grey Roger: Is that the same one you adapted into PotC a while back?
I vaguely recall you tried to get those sails in there too.
Yes, it's the ship from this thread:
Yet another fast war galleon
The Castile-Leon emblem and Holy Roman Empire eagle are now available as sail textures for this ship or any other - have a look a couple of pages back in this thread, @DavyJack posted pictures of her Soleil Royal with the eagle sails. I never tried to fiddle the game to have two different emblems on the foresail and mainsail, so you have to choose one or the other. (And it's no coincidence that the extension to "Ardent" involves the Holy Roman Empire. ;))

My suspicion: If you try REALLY hard in a "Different Flags" sort of way, it might be possible to do it.
It's not going to be easy. Doubt it'd be worth the effort...

This was just a small bug but I have fixed the lights in the hold. The light (fonar locator) was outside the lantern.

What's a "San Martin" class battle galleon doing in Sao Jorge harbour flying a pirate flag? It's not mine!
pirate_battle_galleon.jpg
The only pirate I know who sailed one of these into Sao Jorge is Bartolomeu o Portugues, but this isn't his storyline, it's FreePlay.
In fact, it is mine, though I didn't put it there. The "Peter Blood" sidequests used to feature Bartolomeu, and the character ID for Peter Blood is still "Bartolomeu o Portugues". And I've completed both "Peter Blood" quests in this game. He's an officer, currently looking after a "San Martin" which is berthed in Port Royale. To confirm what I think is going on, I reloaded my savegame at Port Royale, swapped ship so that I have the "San Martin" and he has my normal ship, then sailed straight to Sao Jorge - and sure enough, there was my normal ship sitting in port with a pirate flag. Then I sailed back to Port Royale, where Peter was still sitting in berth with my ship. Oh well, so long as he's looking after it, I've no objection to him doing some freelance plundering on the side. And this is a rather nice Easter egg.

Wait, so his berthed ship shows in a completely different port than where it's actually berthed?
How does THAT happen?!?

Does the side quest set his ship there and that remains active even after hiring? :shock

Yes, I've left Peter Blood in command of a ship berthed at Port Royale and the ship then appears at Sao Jorge under a pirate flag. Even weirder, if I bring Peter and his ship with me to Sao Jorge and berth it there, it appears as you'd normally expect, in Sao Jorge harbour and under an English flag because that's what I'm flying. (The only reason I thought of Peter Blood is that "San Martin" + Sao Jorge = Bartolomeu o Portugues, albeit in his own storyline; and then Peter Blood = Bartolomeu o Portugues in any storyline in which that sidequest is allowed. In fact, the "San Martin" was pure coincidence. I'd captured one and berthed it for possible future use in fort-bashing, then left Peter Blood in charge of it because I already had a fully competent surgeon.)

I've no idea how it happens. I can't find anything in "PROGRAM\Characters\init\officers.c", "PROGRAM\DIALOGS\Bartolomeu o Portugues_dialog.c" or "PROGRAM\QUESTS\quests_side.c" to set his default ship location.

@Bartolomeu o Portugues: did you intend for this to happen, and if so, how did you do it?

On the request of @Pieter Boelen I added a shore on Eleuthera Island. To make it a little distinguished from all the other clones of the nice
"passage" location I added a ruin of a tower. That gave the idea of the name too, Citadel Rock.

In WoodesRogers2 (WR2) there will be some action there.

Offpist, new big item, who's the guy on the tower top and how do you get there?

Yes, Citadel Rock has been in the game for some time. Probably at least two years, since a 2017 version of "PROGRAM\Locations\init\Eleuthera.c" shows the name and code to place the tower. It's certainly an improvement over a simple clone of the original Isla Muelle beach. :onya

There seem to be at least two ways to get to the tower, one of which is to climb straight up the rock on which the tower is located. But that's probably not an option because someone has gone to a lot of trouble to repair the bridge leading to the tower, so you'll probably need to use that. Undoubtedly it will be interesting to find out, one way or the other!

This weeks spoiler is an Estate location from COAS/TEHO etc. I wanted to use some off pist jumping here too
but the building had only one facade (the front) so I added two towers.

Next is the garden side. A VCO location with the estate facade as a set piece.

Very nice! I'm almost tempted to buy TEHO with the specific intention of looting it for ship, weapon and location models for PoTC. xD

The interior is very creative, more interesting than the usual simple coloured panels. :onya

If we are going to do this I could add Charles de Maure (TEHO main character).

His model I believe is the same as blaze from CT, so probably only a retexture is needed.

When I imported Tortuga from VCO I noticed a strange thing. Many buildings had textures on the inside as well.
Now that could be used.

The tower even had holes.

In a book I found this picture of Levasseur's Tortuga fort with his "dovecote",

and tried something similar.
