When changing the name of a character OR SHIP, seems like if you automatically hit the escape button without ending the process (like you might before the mod), your character becomes frozen in place and you can't open any other menus. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> Exactly how do you exit properly from changing a name?

Vice City was on during the initial Voysey/Blythe encounter at QC. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" />

Regarding morale... When at double rum rations, with the way things were previously, morale would climb and climb and climb into the 90's - then a drunken brawl might get morale down to say 65 or so, but it always came back up pretty soon. NOW with a drunken brawl, morale plummets to <b><i>30!!!</i></b> That really stinks. If I'm spending money on rum so the crew can be happy, WHY does the brawl (which I had heretofore imagined as "fun") now make their morale plummet so far??? I'm going to stop being so nice to my men if this continues! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> (can this be fixed/toggled?)

Regarding the tailor at QC - previously I could find the "Fawn" skin there. Now he sells Portuguese solder skins and the Portuguese governor skin, as well as a LOT of female skins. No Fawn, and I'm confused as I thought there was going to be a way to choose from a list. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> ?? Whatever happened to that?

ALSO regarding the tailor - Ummm... I found it weird to find "Fred Bob The Pirate" as a skin for sale... He's a quest character, shouldn't he be unique? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
now i have played that build with modpack a week. And i have seen alots of bugs so far. Sometimes after capturing a ship, i cant talk with anyone in city. Then sometimes my officers want kill me, hehe and then i have runned trough walls. Then i have seen some error messages in character window. like Voysley - error.

For all I know, if you open the change name, then press Esc, the interface will be closed again but you should be able to open another menu again. Maybe somehow the "keyboard mode" isn't properly being turned off? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Maybe a setting got changed in the modpack from default. There might be a lot of setting that are Nathan's setting instead of the default settings. I'd recommend checking the BuildSettings.h and InternalSettings.h files to see if there are any settings you might change to set it back to what it was...

The tailor's shop dialogs are messed up quite badly I think. The English tailors also sell Portugese outfits. The Portugese seem to have become bloody popular! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

I recall Fred Bob being added to initModels.c in one of the modpacks, yes. But if you don't want the outfits to be sold, that could be turned off. It's currently set to be sold from naton pirate. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

To firemark: I also encountered that "rogue officers" bug some time ago. I first encountered them fighting seach other instead of some French guards attacking me. Then when entering FdF, one of my officers killed me. There is a file LAi_mosters .At the bottom is line
GetRandomModelForTypeExSubCheck(sti(ainfo.combat), ainfo.model, ainfo.sex,
Fix (sti(ainfo.combat) to (sti(ainfo. iscombat)
And no more multiple Blaze`s.

Batrice officer model has monster hands when she moves.
If you download Alan Smithee mod in this site .There is a working
Beatrice model as temporary fix.
But beatrice.gm to Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Pirates of the Caribbean\RESOURCE\MODELS\Characters.
And before you do it rename original file to xbeatrice.gm.

There's one quick hack you can do for batch swords. Sell < average quality to a trader, come back in two days and buy average quality blades back. You'll pay a bit of a premium if your commerce isn't perfect though (traders will automatically repair badw or worn to average).

No way to categorize, really. Yet.

The bug is not just the iscombat thing, but also I was assigning models to types.sex.somemodel rather than sex.types.somemodel. Mean that you could never properly specifiy man or woman, you'd always get both as possible choices.

Cat: If you or anyone ever gets stuck in KB mode, hit ESC. that should cancel it. Then you can continue with other keys.
I _still_ can't figure out how to make ESC not close the interface...

Maybe I should re-disable normal dialog during boarding and only allow 'forced' dialog?

I've to report another bug:

In the main quest "Ask to the governator" when danielle and Nathan are is the governator's bedroom. After killed the guards arrived when the governator left the bedroom, I can't left the bedroom because the door is locked.

I've played with the Build12+post_build12 (18/07) + update (26/07).

A new modpack update has been made available. It contains a whole bunch of bugfixes from Nathan Kell, so thanks a lot! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
Also: I fixed the Beatrice model bug. The animation was set to "man", which was correct until High Sea Lass improved the model. So now the animation is set to "man_woman_sit" and that seems to work a whole lot better. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

The hireable officers don't all look like Blaze anymore. Not sure about jungle raiders and smuggler soldiers, because I haven't encountered those yet. Please check those out to see if they're properly fixed as well.

For all I know, you <i>should</i> be able to finish the main quest. However, with the amount of new mods that has been added, there might be so many bugs that need to be fixed that you can't finish the main quest. I've tried to talk to Danielle but she dosn't response, could be something in the last mod that cause this problem (the last time that I've finished the main quest was with build11 so I'm not sure when this problem was introduce).

For now I'll try to disable some of the new features for see what happen.

With CORPSEMODE=3 (previous set) I think that the problem was that after kill the guards the game remained in alert status (red icon).

With CORPSEMODE=0 after kill the guards the game return in normal status and the bedroom door is unlocked.

I hope that this problem will be fix.

I have payed the latest mod pack to the end with Corpse mode on 3 with no problems. You have to search the Corpses and they disappear and away you go. It's as simple as that. There are a few areas where you have to do this.

I am still stymied about the cannon field of fire. What I get is this:

I got that from the very beginning, and even after I switched ships. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> It's not that I have damaged cannons, I checked that... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

As far as I know, the only thing I've done is set the cannons back to "stock" because I find the KNB mod distances to be unrealistic. If I have them on, I have the range to fire a cannonball OVER Douwesen if I have the proper gun elevation. Now really... I know this might be a pretty small island, but should I be able to fire a cannonball over it?

Is anyone else using cannons "stock" or is everyone using the huge firing distances set by KNB's mod?
 
I have some slight memory that the way I wrote destroyable cannon, KNB's cannon mode _must_ be on.
So maybe you need it back on to repair your guns?

I try to set CORPSEMODE=0 and the problem is solved.

With CORPSEMODE=3 (previous set) I think that the problem was that after kill the guards the game remained in alert status (red icon).

With CORPSEMODE=0 after kill the guards the game return in normal status and the bedroom door is unlocked.

I hope that this problem will be fix.

I have payed the latest mod pack to the end with Corpse mode on 3 with no problems. You have to search the Corpses and they disappear and away you go. It's as simple as that. There are a few areas where you have to do this.

I found a little problem with last update (after 26/7) in the option Keys setting (land option) are disapears the "One step Left" and "One step Right" setting.

This is a known issue. Once you set a character's task to dead (which plays the death animation) you can't _un_ set that task. The only other route is to not set the char to task dead, which means the character politely puts away his/her sword before falling over.

Okay, I've got a real good one for the next bug found - I have encountered the rapists - this was when on Douwesen, heading for the Pirate Fort. I encountered NO enemies on the way there, but on the way back I saw four men running towards me, and I thought, "Hmmm, that's odd, the highwaymen never ran towards me before!" I stood there and waited, and realized that three of the men were chasing the fourth - just like the rapers chase the girl.

Imagine my surprise when this happened:

Through the next portal I encountered rapists after a girl... Did my duty, and the maiden paid me 800 gold for my trouble.
