Merely giving an example. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Had a really fun run in with a British frigate last night. My sloop-o-war was under American colours. We exchanged a few broadsides and the Englishman ran... only after losing his foremast! I overcame him after a good hour of tacking and putting shots into his stern with my chasers. They struck their colours and I was blessed to obtain a fine Squall in the shop at Doweseen after collecting some prize money (Selling the ship.)!

Dammit! What are my fellow captains doing? Striking to bloody SLOOPS!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p2" border="0" alt="pirate3.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsdown.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":2dn" border="0" alt="thumbsdown.gif" />

No hard feelings, Sir! It'll be a Frog next go around!

A sloop-of-war can be a ton of different ships. How many guns?

I have finished my small mod-thingy.

HERE IT IS!!!

(to Bosun) Drumroll please!

A sloop-o-war in the game has 18 guns I believe? So, it wasn't your average schrimp of a sloop.

Aaaah. Got it.

Here's the Voice command thing:

(to Bosun) Drumroll please!

SHOOT!! the site won't let me upload my file, it's too big. Anyway, it's up on the FTP.

P.S. What an anti-climax! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

I have my new computer up and running, i just need to find the Photoshop disk before i can do much.

Things are looking pretty good so far.
Most of the ships have been updated or re-skinned. More is on the way.
All the British soldiers have been changed to Napoleonic skins and though I don't have any Napoleonic French soldiers, I changed all the French soldiers to French Navy lieutenants, as they look almost the same and are pretty acceptable.
The game has new flags, America replaces Nuteral.
There are a good many new ships that have been added to the game and they look great.

I'll try to take some screenshots soon and post them. There is not much more to do before this addon is completed. I am only waiting for a few ship re-skins, edited quests, and a couple of other random files that will add Napoleonic flavor to the game.

I have uploaded my torn and worn sails (2 so far) and my loading screens.

Very well. I will download those directly. Do these new sails replace old ones or have you made them as additional options in the sails menu?

The French Squadron of Oxbay.

The Redcoats guard the Admiralty building in Redmond.
<img src="http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h300/_Commodore_John_Paul_Jones/PE_Redcoats.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

Possibly, how are the quests going everyone?
You might want to try and change the year from 1690 to 1800. One problem, when you do that, it curses you and you are stuck with a skely skin. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":|" border="0" alt="mellow.gif" /> How do we change that?

Where have all the ship builders gone? We have new ships and new skins, but some of the vessels in the game look a bit strange with those old mizzenmasts and bowsprits.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! SOO familiar!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

What do you think of these, they have already been uploaded to the ftp, they replace the plain white sails.

<img src="http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h99/CSHM-PiratesAhoy/1800sSailsTest-DefaultSails.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

You can see the differnce here:

<img src="http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h99/CSHM-PiratesAhoy/1800sSailsTest.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

The 2 new sails don't replace others. The new sails are not in the Napoleonic folder, because they have nothing like the loading screens that make them Napoleonic.
The sails are:

sail_whole_white_pirate21.tga.tx
sail_torn_white_pirate15.tga.tx
sail_whole_white_plain.tga.tx

Could i be a beta tester as well as a sailmaker, in a week i will have plenty of time, it will be the summer holidays.

You sure can. I hope to release a beta soon.

Ok, I've been wondering as to how I should release this addon.

A. One big .zip that overwrites everything. Easy to install, just a matter of having the correct build mods.

B. A folder that contains all the files with manual installation instructions and files that contain text to cut and pasted. A little harder, more time consuming, but doesn't overwrite anything.

I've begun to compile all the necessary files into one folder.
I have the Mod's Manual written up, and I have a good deal of stuff ready for use.
I'm pretty much waiting for the Dutch and American navies.

The quests are going into the mod, but I'd like to get a V1.1 out first, then start changinf the game's plotline. That way, people can start playing while we continue to work on the quests.

You lads are going to LOVE this. I've re done all the music and voices, so when you start a sea battle for example, the battle music from MC starts and you hear the gunners shout "FIRE!" as the guns thunder.

You'll hear Captain Jack Sparrow's theme when you anchor at port, you'll hear Sparrow vs. Turner (The blacksmith shop duel) when a swordfight starts.

You'll hear "Set full sails" when at sea, it sounds very formal and everything is said properly, just as a respectable navy captain would.

All the soldiers look awesome. Just look at the screens I posted a few days ago and see.

You're going to LOVE this. When I test it, I get blown away every time.

I'd go with A. Option B might drive people nuts. But for option A you must decide on what version of the game your mod should be installed. Stock PotC? Or Build 12.1? Or some Post Build 12 mod version? I think it would be great if eventually, your mod would be compatible with Build 13. But until Build 13 is released, with what version of the game do you want to make it compatible? Also: If you go with option A, people can still install without overwriting anything by using WinMerge, which is much easier than doing it 100% manually. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
