Pirates of the Caribbean: Community Prequel Script

Yes they are. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> So, should we start adding in our ideas that are scattered throughout this thread?

That would be nice, it would make it easier for me to add things to the script... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Like I said though, a lot of those ideas are further along in the script then where we have reached so far. But we can take an idea that's up ahead and write up a preliminary part of the script around it.

Sorry guys i had to push the script, i am adding a few more lines here or there, and i had a...family issue today, my grandmother suffered a stroke, so no work was done. I feel so bad because i cannot complete this in the time i allocated! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> But hear me: IT WILL BE DONE BY TOMORROW! I hate to keep leaving you guys high and dry. Forgive me....

Don't worry about it, Mercer. Understandable to say the least. I hope your grandmother's alright.

Thanks Old Salt, she's a tough old bird. The doctors said that she is alright, but will have to have a doctor visit her house 4 times a week, and she isnt allowed to drive. They released her last night at about 1:00.

First things first. The script is not first priority. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

His grandmother, I would think.

Gun, have you thought up anymore descriptions that you wanted to put in?

Well, of course it would be my grandmother!! LOL! She is getting old, and wont be here much longer... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> But i mustn't dwell on what is inevitable. I hate this, when i was a young teen grandma's and grandpa's from both sides were all there, and seeing them was a normal day-to-day thing, now much later they are all passing away. One way or the other, one by one. Life doesnt last forever, so you should live it to its fullest. I think that could be a good interpretation of the script. Jack just wants to be free and live life to its fullest. I think thats what he has been trying to do forever, but he loves his freedom so much he is willing to become immortal, and like Teague said: Its not living forever, its living with yourself forever.

I know the script is not THE priority, but i HATE to let people down, and procrastinate. I kept telling you, the next night, then there was a busy day, then Grandma had a stroke, i was at the hospital forever, and they have the worst wi-fi network in the world, Grandpa is worried. It seemed a higher power was attempting to keep me from getting that script out.

BTW, Thanks guys. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Means alot.

I like that line: Its not living forever, its living with yourself forever. Old Teague speaks the truth.

Jack is definitely a free spirit, that's for sure. And as such he is constantly being reminded that life is not as simple as he would like it to be. To many rules. This is what drives him to piracy. Control of his own destiny.

BTW, its great that you knew all your grandparents and had them in your life, and still do. You have to savor every moment as I'm sure you know. I never knew mine. When I was born my maternal grandmother was the only one still living and she died when I was three so I don't remember her.

i like my grandfather. me, my father, and my grandfather are exactly alike. we're all completely bananas.

Oh srry for that..... I thought that script isn't priority to us. So i asked what is.
Ofc that first priority to Mercer is his grandma.

Whats our first priority? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Oldy I'm not good at describing. I think somebody else should describe what we need.

Mercer hold in there. My grandfather (who I really love) had a cancer and he's fine now. (thank God)

My first priority is school, second is PotC Build mod. Except some cases when my friends come first. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/user_comment.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="user_comment.gif" />

Exactly, Pieter. We can see the arc to that story line in our prequel. Jack is legit but unsure of himself and bad at his chosen profession. Then he has a crisis of conscience and finally becomes a pirate, where his heart had always been in the first place. He can live with himself now.

Actually he can't live with himself properly yet, even during AWE. Perhaps only at the end, but I'm not fully convinced. I think he's still got something to learn in an AWE sequel. Which is also why I believe he must never achieve the immortality he wants. He must come to accept his own mortality and learn to live with it. I do NOT want to have Jack actually dying though. We've already had that and one time already was too much as far as I'm concerned. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Yes, we can't fall into that trap. Jack is going to be very unsettled in our script and he will not be complete by the end of it, but a continuing work in progress.

Well, I have bad news...the program i use for writing the script is temporarily down. JUST WHEN I FINISHED IT!!!!!! Man i SWEAR there is a higher power out there trying to get me... It will be back up in a day or two...supposedly...

Is it an online program then? In any case: Not to worry. We're not THAT much in a hurry. Are we? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/user_comment.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="user_comment.gif" />
