New character

Much belated... I just uploaded 2 of my characters - The Towngirl 5 /Danielle mixture and then my own character, Blazie.

They are on the FTP server now. Sorry it took so long, life happened and then I try to make these zips behave, unlike the ones I sent off to Petro's at first... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" />

I will see what I can do with that armour, Cat. Never tried to move a part over quite that way, but I will soon find out if it works. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

While I am at it, would you mind if I tweaked the face but a wee bit to make it look more like the picture of her (such as slightly less elongated) - or are you happy with it as it is?

I was kinda thinking of putting her into the game tho, as a duelist - someone who comes after you when you least expect it, witty dialog while dueling, &tc... I dunno. Let me say that you were right about re skinning mixed models.
The shaders applied by the game to separate parts that once were one, causes some problems under certain lighting situations, mostly bright daylight.

Anyway, here is what I did.

Yes, until I can be bothered trying with merging and retexturing I fear the mixed models will suffer from a number of problems. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Check how the back has the biggest problem.

I just might give her a bodice type leather vest to cover the back but only the abdomen in front.

Yup, I knew there were problems - darker colours therefore work better, I fear. And until (if ever) I can find a good "joint" or am able to retexture them and then rebind them, well, then this is the way it will be. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

And it is the angel of the face of the model that decides what light it catches, so there is nothing I can do unless I rather have faces poke out here and there - and that is far worse...

The latest 33_Blazie.zip uploaded and hopefully working.
 
In my PotCMods.zip, if you turn the debug mode on in BuildSettings.h, you get all the skins in the game. Is Blazie in there and working? When I set the start-up skin to Blazie, it did work in that modpack. But I did have to manually convert the TGA file to TGA.TX, but that wasn't such a problem. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

How were the original animations for the characters made, anyhoo? Becuase if we could find that, we could put in these sort of things (cloak swish, female chars sitting, etc)
