jack sparrow quest problem

Did you try the "other" island - [the small one just off shore]?
(and did you read your quest book? - the hint is in there)
 
Well i found him he was in cave but my quest book still does not get updated and now back to my original problem i have just finished talking to annamarie about nathan kell and then i sail to bridge town and cutler beckett arests me and i go to map storm movie plays but then nothing else happens
i do not go to island where davy jone is

Try going through the canyon to Bridgetown when you finish talking to Annamaria <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />o) (hint.. hint..)
 
i think my game has a glitch,
on jack sparrows quest, in the beggining i took Sir Christopher Mings route,
he said to work for sir cutler bekket, but on bekkets first mission you escort him
to port royal, when you get there he tells you to go to the EITC house next to the
gates to receve payment, but when i enter i get teleported to the EITC House And its empty and on
another island with no ship. can you tell me if this a glitch or if my mods broken,
and if so is there a way to fix it?

What patch are you playing? Alpha 9 patch 4?
 
Build 14 Alpha 9 Full is Build 14 Alpha 9. And indeed I recall a bug with that in Alpha 9. You'd need to install Patch 4 on top and start a new game.
Or better still, wait for Patch 5 which will be released as soon as humanly possible; tomorrow if I can manage it.

I am doing a Hornblower update - completely new start and story changed a bit to show antagonism with Simpson.
I will try to upload it tomorrow - assuming I can get it done in time. It is not the complete story - so you may not want to wait before your next update.
Just thought I'd let you know.
 
in alpha 9.5 after the mutiny on the black perl you are stranded on a island with a gun with one shot,
when on the island i talk to the smuggelers who say they help you off the island, they tell me to use their ship and sail to tortugue, but i cant get on the ship because i cant acsess the dingy,and i have tried many ways, can anyone help me?

OK I GOT ON THE SHIP <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

BUT I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLAM, WHEN STEELING THE DAUNGHTLESS IN B14 ALPHA 9.5
I I GO ROUND TO A BAY WITH THE INTERCEPTOR FOLLOWING ,LIKE THE QUESTBOOK SAYS,
BUT WHEN I ARRIVE IN THE BAY WITH THE INTERSEPTOR FOLLOWING, THE GAME SCREEN GOES BLACK AND CRASHES TO THE DESCTOP? WHY IS THIS AND CAN ANYONE HELP IS THIS WHAT I AM MENT TO DO, AND WHY DOES IT CRASH, AND ALSO WHY CANT YOU FIRE CANNONS FROM THE DAUNGHTLESS OR BOARD THE INTERCEPTOR BECAUSE I TRYED TO TAKE THE INTERCEPTOR WITHOUT GOING TO THE BAY BUT THAT DOESNT WORK EITHER?

PLEASE HELP!!!
 
Beats me. You should get out of range of the fort, then raise a pirate flag and board the Interceptor.

BTW: Reading capitals is really annoying; you don't need to use them, you know. Except at the beginning of a sentence. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
Additionally just posting a question once on the forum ensures that we will see it and answer; no need doing it multiple times on different spots either. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />
 
Its good, someone else in here post their problems. As the questbook have stopped updating long ago, I never can remember what I was supposed to do next, but the problems described in here leads the way - I am sure, I am not alone on this <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

SJG: The fix with the storm works. Bugfixing is hard. And if you dont already know it yourself, you´re doing one hell of a job and make a lot of people happy by making this quest and with your help.

Now Pieter has called a temporary halt to updating, we will have a chance to collaborate more on the bug, issues and general "whats?" that occur.
The various changes have caused us all problems from time to time.

Anyway, hopefully we will be able to progress at a faster rate now. (with the usual legal rider - " famous last words" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> )
 
i don't know if anyone posted it but i couldn't find barbossa on martinique... also after i kill 3 guard for tia dalma, i got the compass... i joined the EITC with the billy brock quest but after that the quests book says i should go to the other guy (couldn't recall the name... the one who likes to nap) but he isn't at the tavern in speightstown and i can't go to his residence...

I dont think Simon Hanpool is the worst character to look like, but Peter Willemoes really looked more like another (non-unique) model, that is already ingame. I will try to find that model, if you´d like?

I would suggest both Jack, Philippe and Maximus to be instantly located on the Wrench after the meeting with Sir Christopher Mings in Speightstown in order to prevent either Maximus or Phillipe dying accidentally on the way to the port. Or will the quest be able to continue, even if they die?
(We ran into some of those nasty "Sucker.."-guys and they both died in combat, so I just reloaded..)

hi again.. i found a new bug. i am still imortal after curing myself from the curse. you know the first time jack takes the gold for the brotherhood. then his fathers tells him how to cure it. well my ship takes no damage neither does jack. its kinda like a cheat.. has this happend before? any tips in how to avoid this?
 
Turn on the cheatmode, then use Numpad 0 to turn off the godmode again?
