No need to change anything in engine.ini, just change the OFF to On in _mods_on_off and press F11 to open the debag window. Works fine, i just tested it. :onya
 
Everything works great! thanks a lot for releasing this awesomeness :keith

However I just have 1 question, because I cant seem to enable the F11 function anymore

did these steps :

1. open AoP 2 folder
2. open engine.ini and set debugwindow = 0 to debugwindow = 1
3. close and save the file then go into program folder
4. open up _mod_on_off.h
5. set betatestmode function to on (on means there Dev version of the game)
6. close and save the file
7. start a new Game

Does this mean we cant fool around anymore :shrug

Did you edit any of the commands from F1-F30? If you changed or added something to one of them, like F26 for example, make sure in that command you have F26 listed as the key for that command. You should see three F26's in that line.
Example of mine that I edited....

See how F26 is listed 3 times? Make sure all three in ones you have edited match whatever F key you you assigned it to, if you edited any the F commands.
 
Ok well so far i made up a top 10 list of things which could give you modders some ideas or so because it is never bad to have some views of person who stand somewhere else:
1. Add to customizable ship sails the colour: white
2. Fix the Line Frigate (it does not have any sailor animations on it, so maybe craiggo could fix that)
3. Fix the Frigate (Make it so you cannot look though the windows of it, because you can see the modelling skelett of the ship though them)
4. Make it possible to take over cities (seriously AoP had it and i dunno why they deleted that awesome feature)
5. Image customization of the sails (maybe at Bermuda too like the colour customization)
6. Add surrender and diplomatic actions at sail mode
7. Add some more towns to the carribean
8. Add 2 handed blades (VERY optional but it could be fun to use)
9. Add the opportunity to equip capes (Very very very very Optional!!!! I think i am the first to think about it but capes would look just awesome in this game^^)
10. Add more 2 handed 17th-18th century rifles (very very very very very optional)
 
Hello Guys!

I am from Austria and i install AOP2 - COAS with the GOF 1.0 and 1.1 Patch,
and i also use the the RPGUtilite.c file.

But when i will use play Jack Sparrow as Priate, i always have the Problem wenn i try to go ashore
i always stay on the Ship!

:(

What is rong? When is this Bug fixet or does anybody work on this Mod now?

Please help me!

I found this written by Luke159, which should help:

2. Move the file to Age of Pirates 2\Program\characters
3. When asked to overwrite, say yes.
4. Start a new game and select pirates.
5. Have fun bud.

also reinstalled fresh copy of COAS, installed GOF then patched it w/ ver 1.1,
change the OFF to On in _mods_on_off
still no debug window appeared.

Very weird, try this one. You might want to check the mod settings in options to make sure they are how you like them.

even my version is messed up though I applied the patch folder by folder.

Woah i just stumbled across a VERY stupid quest bug in the spanish questline!!

In the inquistion quest you have to kidnapp the moneylanders son but when you board the ship of the moneylenders son it won't surrender, because the surrender mode is disabled, and so you cannot finish the quest because when you fight on the vessel you won't have a captain fight but instead you will instantly go to the exchange menu -_-* And as far as I remember you will have to speak with him in the cabin so thats cruel how hours of gameplay are wasted :S Could anyone give me a clue on how to fix it or at least make it so that i won`'t have to wait for patch 1.2 :p

Sorry about that bud, it was because of another bug that the surrender was disabled. Obviously in GOF 1.2 this is fixed but the bad news is i believe turning surrender back on will mean a fresh start.
 
As ships HPs in CM (and I believe in GoF too) increased drastically it is almost useless to use planks and canvas for self-repair now.
Even a full cargo load of planks cannot restore HPs of large ships.
Is it a bug or a feature?

I think it is better to change plank-to-HP amount to have the same load of planks as in vanilla to restore the increased number of HP.
 
No its a feature bud, it was so unrealistic that a MOW could be restored back to full health just because of some planks. It would have taken more than planks to fully restore any ship to full glory again, the planks if anything would have been used to patch up holes but the planks would have been much weaker than if they had been restored at a shipyard. So this is why planks are less effective now.

Maybe from realistic point of view it is true, but according to the game mechanic it's quite illogical.
Now repair skill, and even Carpenter position is almost useless -- that ruins game concept and skill system.

umm Usenext has alot of COAS setups for some reason... My brother got it for me after i annoyed him long enough :p Still Usenext costs some money per month as i recon ;) Good that i have a backup of this game on my computer now^^

Usenet charge for stuff that should be free as well.......try joining....you have to subscribe to porno sites......that's their cover........B/S rip off merchants that probably haven't got what you want when you have signed up.

Umm may be wrong forum but when using Maya i have that annoying white screen on the 3d layout evertime i am using the toolbar or switching from one screen into the other... this is really annoying when trying to create a sword because you are always trying to get the picture stable and not to be white again xD maybe i should install 5.1? Or is it an incompatibility issue with windows 7?
