The names are here. 1 is Santo DOmingo, 2 is Las Tortugas (Cayman), 3 is Aruba.Map1 (Marcel Jauri): Barbados, Havana, Bonaire, Nevis, Cartagena
Map 2 (O'Klee): Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Bonaire, Nevis, Cartagena
Map 3 (Maxaguan): Barbados, Havana, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Cartagena
Thanks a lot! Then I guess it will be a couple of weeks, before my stuff can get tested and implemented in the game. I need a break anyway, but I really try not to disappear for months this time.Incidentally, I'll be away for a couple of weeks, so you'll not be getting any more maps for a while...
Tavern brawls are handled by "LEnc_monsters", which uses function "Random_Raid", which plays "abordage2.wav". Anyway, some nasty folks do use blades and guns in what should be just a fist fight. You, for one, unless you specifically choose fists. And your officers, who don't have fists.Ok for that but it sounded like they were using (metal) blades. Maybe something can be done.
I made a map for the abbey, is there any interest in including it in the game?Remind me - where's that?
Do you want me to make another map changing the name?Looking around "RESOURCE\Textures\INTERFACES\Maps", I found that is indeed the case. The maps at the top level of the folder are for "Revolutions" and "Napoleonic" periods. Where there are differences for periods, they're in sub-folders "0" ("Early Explorers"), "1" ("Spanish Main"), "2" ("Golden Age of Piracy") and "3" ("Colonial Powers"). But those only show period-correct island names. They don't show town names at all. In game, town names appear in white and appear to be generated and placed when you examine a map. At a guess, they're placed on the island map based on the towns' positions around the island when you sail there, so it probably won't happen on dungeon maps.
What that means is that you'll need a second map to go in folder "0" with "Barbados" replaced by "Los Barbados", "Speightstown" replaced by "San Luis", and "Bridgetown" replaced by "Santa Ines". Correct the spelling of "Abbey", and in the default version correct the spellings of "Speightstown" and "Bridgetown".
Incidentally, after finding the period sub-folders, I realised I'd slipped up in an earlier project. On the map of Cuba, the beach Baha de San Antonio was close to Santiago and Baha de Moa was close to Havana. But when you land on them, Baha de San Antonio leads to Havana (the "Peter Blood's Crew" sidequest relies on this), while Baha de Moa leads to Santiago. So I swapped the beach names on the map. But I didn't do the same for the version in sub-folder "0", so anyone playing "Devlin Opera" will still see the beaches in the original positions. That will be corrected in the next update.
