If the "_back" is where you go, what´s the other one doing?

I still don´t get why there has to be two locators sometimes but not always.

ex: Conc. smuggl_lair_xit
reload3 has no corresponding reload3_back

Now, where can we DOWNLOAD?
 
Yes, it seems you're right.

In most cases, when there is a "_back" is defined, the code is similar that in the normal "no back locator".

example :

i don't know exactly for what the "_back" locator is but it has the same code that the "normal" locator. I respected this principle in my KR mod and it works.

screwface, it just depends what the locator happens to be called in that location. in the QC pirate house there may be a locator called "Reload3_back" but in other locations they have different names.
 
You need those "back" locators if you use a reload locator with autoreload = "1". (which means it automatically teleports you as soon as you step on it, e.g. between jungles and open townquarters)

Usually you emerge on the same locator where you leave a location. That wouldn't work with autoreload locators: you would be automatically teleported back if you emerged on an autoreload.

Therefore Akella made seperate "emerge" and "leave" locators which are positioned a little bit apart.
Hope I was able to explain what I mean, sounds a bit confusing...

BTW, did some experiments with shorelocations, and all led to the same crash you had.
Tried almost everything, even cloning Oxbay port into Oxbay_port2, or using the Muelle_passage which has no connection to the sea (i.e. your ship), or setting .seashore ="false"

Seems like this crash has nothing to do loacators or anything in the code but is shoremodel related <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

I've said it before, I'll say it again; The Devil's Island mod is `ab-so`-f*`ck-in`-`lute-ly` brilliant!

I had no trouble installing the game, starting with a clean reinstall. I will try it on my other computer that already has saved games on it and let you know if I encounter any problems. (But I doubt that there will be any. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" /> )

I especially liked the new loading screens that you added for Devil's Island and the Secret Hideout.

You are mistaken regarding your English, it is fine and does the job perfectly, however, per your earlier request, I went ahead and rewrote some of the dialog in KR_crewmember.h and then pasted it into the new dialog notepad and it worked. I am not sure how to send the notepad to you, but I think that people can actually copy it from here and then paste it into the game notepad, making a copy first, and it should work.

You should only need to hit "i" to reinitialize, Fred Bob, the trouble we were having earlier involved being able to start a new game, and you should be all set to discover many new Nutty Thangs, but even better, KR has been expanded to about 3 times it's original size.

Yes, you can land there now, I think that's been the whole point of this mod...

Can't wait to get into it, been fiddling about with PotC so much lately I decided to do a fresh clean install and `re-install` the Build and other mods... Cleaning off my hard drive, moving files, backing up files... Takes time... Between that and working on my own mods and adding a new hard drive, I've had scant time to mess with any new mods. BUT I am really looking forward to seeing what you've accomplished here!

Screwface, with install new KR, load savegame, reinit everything is OK.

With install new KR, load savegame, reinit, I don´t ever meet those repairmen and only the first new logo,(dev isl) is there.

Another thing: the new KR_Reinit file was very easy to understand! Now I can get my own additions to work. (Needed a QC_Reinit).

YES, the new KR Island is a very nice place to go and I think the new logos fine.

I can not change the locators themselves, cause I have no modeling knowledge. But what the game does once the player steps on a locator is in the `C-code`, so we can change almost everything. (even sadistic things like minefields: just code something like "if player steps on lctr x run boxexplosionfunction" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" /> )
I put an example on how to make rld locators work like reload locators in my Locationcloningtutorial (see Wiki thread) The code for box and randitem lctrs is in the same files, so you should be able to make ANY locator work like a box or randitem.

Fred Bob, per the Read Me, Kr gets disabled during the main quest, but a reinit brings it back. ( I'm thinking if you do a reinit after you talk to Brin in Redmond so the entire quest is completed, KR should be back.) I have an old save game from just before entering the inca temple and I sank the pearl and couldn't get back into KR either, but I didn't go to Brin and I'm thinking that the disable is still in effect until the main quest is completed. I'll give this a try tonight and see if this theory holds water.

I ran across a similar result in the save game that I was using to test getting onto and back off of KR; I get the Devil's Island logo screen, but then it takes me right to the Inca Temple, skipping the Jungles and caves. To my thinking this is could be because of all of the work that I've done on this particular game, but I get the same result even after doing a reinstall. I used the method of installing the Devil's Island mod without having installed Kieron's Ship berthing mod on this computer. Haven't run into any problems starting a new game either, but I'll do some more testing and see if I run into any bugs.
