Got it.
New issue? I did the treasure quest at Cayman Kai. I have the pickaxe but when I use it on the icon nothing happens.
Nothing AT ALL? Not even a log message? You do need to equip whatever item it is you need.
But the game should at the very least give a log message stating that you still need the item.

Err, doesn't Cayman Kai require the spade?
There are two treasure quests on Cayman, both in caves and they do indeed both require the pickaxe.
 
I did equip it. It and I use it like the blade, (space bar) and it doesn't appear to make any contact with anything. I have moved all around it.

AH! Press F3. It's pretty much a normal box.

Oh well, at least we got there. Actually, I ran into EXACTLY the same confusion in Jack Rackham's Gold-Bug storyline that he's working on.
I was supposed to press F3 to get it to work. I ended up doing everything else, but not that. So you're in good company. :facepalm

Left Grand Cayman, hit the map was instantly placed of the NE coast of Cuba. :shrug
 
I was in Tortuga, in the yard, there I changed my ship and also 1 of my companions, before leaving there I also wanted to upgrade the ships, put guns etc, but I was broke there used cheat money, and after doing 20 times quickly to cheat, the game crashed.

my cheats: Level UP, GodMode for Companions and me money.
Number of companions with ships: 3
Something went wrong, but did not catch the game? Yes, and what was it? Well, I'm the new storyline, which has a companion called Vigila Mendes, his ship has the option of placing the appearance of the ghost ship, and I put it got Sails 99999999, and when I also went in the yard + one instead, my ship was selected and went on his appearances, and then immediately clicked on the ship Vigila Mendes and bought my appearance for him, and he stayed with his normal crew, but appearance and amount of guns like mine.

I think that is because the island-radius of cayman and cuba are too close, you can see that also with hispaniola and puerto rico.. I noticed that the game sometimes doesn't give me the land-ho sign even if I direct on the coast on the world map

No list so far, but I have some questions:

1. Is it intended, that the Tailor Shop at Turks sells no pirate-models?
2. Are there some problems with Curacao? I had a hard time to reach the harbour of Willemstad (never been there before), because there was no visible city. The map says, it's on the east side of the island, but the shore there led me to the jungle. Maybe it was just me and I'm blind.
3. Curacao, Aruba, Eleuthera and Turks use the same picture in the Colony Interface. Do they have their own? If not, I could make them.

It's a lot of work, but it can be done. Most of the game code is set up to allow additional language packs anyway, so you wouldn't need to overwrite any existing files.
It could be a bit difficult, because several text blocks (ship types, weapon quality, etc.) don't work well in German (huge grammar issues), so if you just translate it without further thinking, it will look horrible. Should be no problem though, I'll manage this somehow; but I have other stuff to solve first.

Cassadar, I can help you with that ;) I will finish the dialogs this week and then we can talk about dividing the work ;)
I will think about it, but there's no rush for now. And I think that Pieter needs much more help at the moment than me.

About your points:
1. Turks has a tailor shop? :D
2. I think you moored at the beach. For Willemstad port, you need to moor near the rock in the water Oo
3. I think they don't have their own pics
 
1. Not intended, but he was set to ENGLAND in the code. Let's change that to PIRATE, shall we? :cheeky

2. If Armada figures out how to update island models, perhaps one day we can add some proper towns to those new islands.

3. I don't think the new islands do have their own yet. The file is RESOURCE\Textures\INTERFACES\small_islands.tga.tx
Would be nice to have them all! Looks like there is only space for two more though without making further adjustments.
While you're at that, I wonder if it would be nice to make them look different than regular screenshots from the worldmap too.

I have encountered a problem with promotion. First I bought a LOM on Jamaica, sunk a few ships went to Cayman saw the Gov and didn't get the promotion dialogue I got I am looking for a LOM. Bought it again sailed for 80 days, sunk a lot of ships went the English Gov on Nevius, and got the I am looking for a Letter of Marque dialogue again not the promotion dialogue.


Even though I have the crew hire set so you don't get a full crew when you repair, I get a full crew when I divide the plunder. Should it work that way?

Indeed that was reported before; seems I broke something when I rewrote the related code. Will look at it once I managed to get somewhere with Pirate_KK's code base.
If I understand correctly, it works once you get the SECOND LoM. Can you confirm that?

Looks like all ships are being "reset", which I think includes re-crewing and repairing. So it looks to be intentional.

Armada did a great job on the REAL Caribbean! We're still trying to iron out some imperfections though.
