Solved Build 14 Beta 3.2 Installation

What is the filesize of it? It could indeed be incomplete/corrupted.
 
It is most likely a bad download. I just made another clean POTC install and it worked perfectly.
 
i got 219,562kb for pt2. i installed build 13 final and it worked just fine. will stick to it for the meantime until i got a perfect copy of the mod. thank you for the generous support, mates!
 
The exact size should be 2,388.25mb (2,504,265,443 bytes) . So that's a fair bit over 2 GB.
 
Ouch! This is what part 2, or the 7zip should look like. The .exe will be newer than this and will be a different size.

Build 13 final works fine.
Is there a way i can patch it to build 14? Where can i get it?
I still have trouble downloading the part2_7zip file. Any suggestion is very welcome. Am very eager to play build 14 already. Please help.
 
have tried again and again but to no avail, even the various mirrors (9) are not accessible.
is there any restrictions from those sites? do i need to register before i can download?
just curious though, i can download the installer w/o any trouble.:shock
 
Try this. It might work but I make no guarantees.

There are limited download mirrors for ModDB guests. You can register for free, for you to get more download mirrors avoiding download problems, if you want.
Plus, ModDB is a huge site. You can download many MODs and other stuffs that might interest you if you try to browse the site.

PiratesAhoy! (PA) often uses the site for uploading latest releases. So, it can be really handy for you to register @ ModDB if you're a PA fan. ;)
 
You shouldn't need to register at ModDB to be able to download though.
Have you tried the extra independent mirror links that you get by pressing "read more +" on the ModDB download description?
 
Finally, i got hold of the new game. Thank you all mates!
I figured out that, the trouble with my downloads with large files is on my DL manager. I already corrected it and successfully completed build 14 part2 (archive). Am now starting to explore the game. Initial impression, AWESOME! You all did a fine work of art over the years. I salute you all.

Again, thank you for the effort for giving us a much better form of entertainment. I raise my glass to all mateys!

Great work lads, I havent played for a few years since build 13 final and its great to come back and see what you have done.

SO.. I have recently bought a new desktop PC and wanted to have a game of POTC. I installed the stock game outside of program files, and checked it runs fine. Then I downloaded the 2 files B14 beta 3 full and the Installer. Only now I have I hit a problem, the files in my download folder appear blank, as if my new PC doesnt recognise them.... is there something I need to install on this new pc in order to install these B14 beta 3 mod files ?

What do you mean by blank? One of the files is a regular EXE executable file.
 
And the other is a 7Zip file. Do you have extensions enabled in your folder options?

Im not sure what happened it must have been my incompetence but I tried again and the installer works, this time I got all the way to the end of the install, restarted my pc and started the game, but as soon as the storm window appears i get an error box :

Im running on a decent pc on windows 8, the stock game works fine so im hoping there must be a solution to this, has anyone seen this error message before?

Hi @moonbridge did you get an error.log file in the root folder of potc?
Also I sugest waiting till monday cause we will release a new version of the mod pack then or Check it out here on the forums ;).

My guess is your installation is faulty. There are a lot of problems with the main archive not downloading completly, in the new installer this will be solved, but for now my first sugestion would be to download part 2 again and try to install it again.
