same shit , the setup wont reconize the archive unless its unzipped ?alright
x i think that might helpYou should not extract anything yourself. The installer will do it for you. Just put the installer and the archive file into the same folder. It does not need to be the folder where the game will be installed; I've got the installer and archive on a folder on my D: partition, and the game installed in "C:\Games".
Also, forget Beta 3.2. It's riddled with bugs. Get Beta 3.3 instead, from the links at the start of the following thread:
http://www.piratesahoy.net/threads/simplified-build-14-beta-3-3-wip-code.23064/
Why do you think the Beta 3.3 installer is called "internal" and "WIP" (=short for "Work In Progress")?then you need to update the installer in moddb website cos its the one with bugs
well i tried the new installer now its asking for a new name for the b14 now it ends with ".potc" and its not gonna work .......It should be a simple matter of double-clicking on the EXE file that is in the same folder as the 7-Zip file, then follow the wizard.tall
As Grey Roger said, you do not need the Beta 3.2 installer for anything. All required files are already included in the Beta 3.3 WIP one.
So you need only two files in total.
Why do you think the Beta 3.3 installer is called "internal" and "WIP" (=short for "Work In Progress")?
Because we're working on FIXING it, of course! And while it is better than Beta 3.2, it still isn't as good as we want it.
Actually, the Beta 3.2 one on ModDB works just fine. It only becomes troublesome when you try to do any trading.
Everything else works.
