You should not open "b14_beta4_final.tar" yourself.

Reinstall the original game. Put "b14_installer_Jan_2022.exe" and "b14_beta4_final.tar" into one folder - it doesn't need to be the same folder where you are installing the game but those two files need to be together. Then run "b14_installer_Jan_2022.exe". The installer will extract files from "b14_beta4_final.tar", copy them into place, and do a lot more besides.

But you will need to extract the contents of "post_1Jan_updates_210722.zip" yourself, then copy all its files into the game installation folder.

Something I didn't notice earlier - you have "b14_beta4_final.tar.tar". That's not right, it should just be "b14_beta4_final.tar". Also, the 21st May 2018 version is outdated.

You do extract the files from this yourself. The installer won't help you here because these are files which were created after the installer.

Other way round - the files from "post_1Jan_updates_210722" should replace the ones from the B14 installer. They are corrections and new additions which were created after the installer.

When you start the game, the main menu screen should show a date. If it says "21st July 2022" then you have probably copied the update into place correctly.
