did someone build already times a city?

Does anyone know how we could get Yo Ho Ho's town to work properly? Still looks a bit odd, no? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
I dont know, but I do know that the skybox should be textured. Sky_up, sky_back, sky_front,left and right should be put on the background, with sky in the buttom I presume. The game will then render the sky seemesly and do adjustements for day and night by itself.

i think Alphablending doesnt work with storm engine but i doesnt know it.

more textures more different towns.
its one part to model buildings but i spend more time to create textures. thats it why my models have simple textures.

in the next days i would try to create a new map but at the moment i support some modeler and i must finish the "Frog" and another "Cheese" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
 
I uploaded some textures in my ftp folder. Let your eyes be kind to their looks, please - they are not at all up to the standard of those in AoP2 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Some of them were old textured I never got to use and just brushed up a bit, most are made from scratch, using photos from google. Had to learn how to make them seemless again and work is going slow, but steady.

PS:I hope you are ok with that 512x512 concept. The large ground textures are supposed to be stretched very wide open, dont tile them.
 
Is it OK if I move this thread to the new generally-viewable location modeling forum?

Does anyone know what would need to be done to get this model into the game properly?
Say, with a floor...? SuperDurnius...? Any thoughts...? :?

I haven't heard any news from Yo Ho Ho about this project for quite a while.
I think he's a bit stuck or something... :?
 
Alright, I have checked the model... It not only needs some 3d work, he (by me) also is missing lot's of textures (or doesn't catch them up, meening failed conversion with maya). Really need some comments from Yo Ho Ho...
