i guess so. i'm really wondering what all the unessesary crap at school is all for. that's why i only do my best on thing thing's that interest me, which are few.
 
I was told by a teacher a long time ago that schooling should actually end after Grade 6, as he believed everything after this point was a complete waste of time. After all the needless garbage I've learned since Grade 6, I'd have to say I completely agree.

Heck, to become a TV repair person here, you need to take General Science 30, Chemistry 30, Physics 30, and Pure Math 30 - and that's just the admission requirements! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> And the so-called "experts" wonder why Alberta's high school dropout rate is so high - I know it sure ain't the oil sands causing it! Nowadays, to get a job up there, you need to be an immigrant!

well, as long as you can choose your further education. there are some things that i'd really like to learn. problem is, after grade 6 there's a big chance you don't have your mind set on what you want to be later on. that's the problem.
 
Aye. I still don't know what I'm planning on doing, and most of the colleges, universities, and technical schools here have insanely high tuition rates and few open spaces for new students. Aside from that, the pay you get from anything that requires a few years' education is peanuts compared to what you can get working in the oilsands - on the other hand, our wonderful government takes away nearly half of what you make, so you're not really much further ahead. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
