CD's are tougher than you think. better asess the damage. i'm nearly done with the flywheel. it's a huge amount of work, but it's paying off.

well, the stupid thing is, they're real. i took quite a hit from one of them. took me out for 3 days.

The CD's still alive - I couldn't see it through all the cracks in the plastic case, which promptly shattered into a zillion sharp little plastic bits when I tried to open it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boom.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":boom" border="0" alt="boom.gif" /> . I think I've discovered a modern-day substitute for grapeshot! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" /> Ouch!

Put some pictures up when you're done - I'm tired of watching the idiot in this movie repeatedly failing to hang himself! It'd be quicker if somebody'd just shoot him!

you'll notice that i removed the transom. this is because it doesn't need it for a rudder.

the reason for all the facets is because it's slightly curved.

as you might be able to see, i've heightened the battlements on the bridgedeck and added a cap to the bowsprit which actually looks more like some civil war mine.
 
I'm studying "The Shawshank Redemption" - they've got me hunting for all this crap that's supposed to be in the scene where a former prisoner hangs himself, and I'm watching it over and over again to make sure I didn't miss anything. sketchup is easy, once you know how to handle it's quirks. it's just a matter of a looooooooooooooooot of patience. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> i actually only know how to use the program for a week and a half. you can use pretty simple methods to do amazing things, but you need to know your techniques. making stuff is 50% fiddling around with placeholders.

The only modeling program I've ever used was something made back in 1998 for a course I took last year - I think it was called Lightwave. The bloody thing didn't work worth squat on the school's WinXP machines, and I lost all my work three times. The idiots had bought the copies our class was using on the cheap - copies which we later learned had been pirated! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
