The fire at 8895 County Road started shortly before 4:45 p. m. and was noted by a volunteer firefighter passing the scene.

Clarence Center firefighters battled the blaze with crews from Clarence, Getzville and East Amherst. Clarence Center Chief David Case said the fire was caused by the smoke detector in the living room ceiling. The blaze caused extensive fire, heat and smoke damage throughout the 1-1/2-story wood frame house.

No one was home at the time of the blaze. The American Red Cross was assisting the family, which was displaced by the fire.

March 5, 2009

DENVER - He bought his first home, poured $30,000.00 into it to fix up, now 6 months later Jonathon Kyte has learned his home doesn't belong to him.

"I froze, I just pointed at it, my wife was there, we were just speechless."

According to the city and county of Denver, Jonathon owns the dump, next door. He found out about the mistake almost by accident when he recieved a map which showed the unit he's living is actually unit number 4.

But he owns the deed and title to unit number 5. Jonathon blames the Coldwell Banker listing agent for the mistake. She marketed the property and provided the key to the unit Jonathon and wife have been living in. He called the listing agent again and again but she wouldn't return his calls. He also called the title company, " Colorado American Title, " and an employee promised to get back to him, but never did.

So Jonathon called Fox 31 News. We confronted the listing agent's supervisor, but he would not comment on camera. He said their lawyers were looking into it.

Jonathon is now considered a squatter in the condo --he thought he bought.

And all the people who were so willing to sell it to him, are unwilling to help.

Biggest-ever Internet piracy bust claimed in Sweden
March 6, 2009 3:07 PM PST

Swedish police on Friday reported making a major Internet piracy bust.

Authorities said they seized computer equipment belonging to a Stockholm-area man whom they suspected of violating local copyright law. The police, who carried out the raid on February 9, only disclosed the news Friday.

"We made a bust. A server and computers have been taken and are being analyzed now," said Mats Johansson, a precinct commander in Stockholm, told CNET News in an interview.

Johansson said the man, whose identity was not disclosed, was questioned and subsequently released. He is now the target of an investigation by government prosecutors.

The seized server contained 65 terabytes of digital data, consisting of films, TV series, computer programs, and the music equivalent of 16,000 movies, according to the Antipiracy Agency, an organization based in Sweden that's supported by a consortium of film and game organizations to fight Internet piracy.

The server was located in Brandbergen, south of Stockholm, the Swedish capital. The police raid took place just before the individuals behind The Pirate Bay Web site went to court to defend themselves gainst charges of helping millions of Internet users illegally download copyright-protected movies, music, and computer software.

The Pirate Bay has not been accused of being behind the site. Still, Peter Sunde, a spokesperson for the file-sharing site, said in an interview with the Swedish news site SvD.se that he did not believe the claims made by the Antipiracy Agency, which described the Stockholm arrest as the biggest digital copyright bust in the nation's history.

"More than 800,000 people have uploaded files to Pirate Bay, so I do not believe it is the source of the entire problem," Sunde told SVD.se. "But it is possible that it is a significant source."

The Antipiracy Agency claimed that the server was part of the Nordic FTP ring called "Sunnydale," comprising 10 servers. After the bust, the ring went down and could not be accessed online.

The Antipiracy Agency said that despite the site's high security, it was able to secure the evidence it needed, which it then turned over to police.

"The well-organized pirates on the scene seemed to have overestimated their ability to hide their identity and location, but the bust showed that we could find the responsible entity," Henrik Ponten, a lawyer who works for the Swedish Antipiracy Agency, said in a statement released to the press.

Attempts by CNET to reach The Pirate Bay for comment Friday were unsuccessful.

Last Update: 3/05 10:24 pm

A Liverpool, England motorist was stopped by a police officer and questioned for laughing at the wheel of his car.

Gary Saunders says he was using a hands free phone when he burst out laughing after his brother-in-law told him a joke.

That's when he saw the flashing lights and pulled over.

Saunders says the officer told him that "laughing while driving a car can be an offense."

When Saunders asked what the problem was the officer reportedly told him that he "was laughing too much."

In the end no ticket was issued and a police spokesman wouldn't comment on the case because the spokesman wasn't aware of the full details.

But a driver's association calls the case a "shocking example of the police harassing innocent motorists."

Today in WTF: Penis Extenders Actually Work?

Posted by Emily Farris

According to a new study published in the British Journal of Urology International men who subject themselves to devices similar to the torturous one pictured in the link below in hopes of growing their penises actually do grow their penises. And in a pretty big way, if the results are to be believed.

The study followed 21 men in Italy for up to a year as they used penis-enlarging device with "dynamic rods" and—we really can't believe this—some saw a growth of up to 33 percent over six months.

Unfortunately, the entire article is not available for non subscribers but an abstract reported that the average flaccid length at the start was 2.82 inches—after a year, it was 3.72 inches. While there was no increase in girth, erectile function "scores" also improved during the test.

Conclusion? "Penile extenders should be regarded as a minimally invasive and effective treatment option to elongate the penile shaft in patients seeking treatment for a short penis." Very interesting...

If you don't want to see a picture of a penis extender hard at work, don't click here. ...minimally invasive, hmmmmm...
