The counting game

today someone whom i hadn't seen in 7 years tried to hook me up with someone 5 years younger than me. WHAT THE FRACK?

I had a mate try and set me up with someone last week, I then told him that I went on a date to the movies the week before with a different girl who I have been after for a good month and didnt want to be set up and maybe he should have a go at the chick he was trying to set me up with (seeing how he has been single 3 years now) :rofl

my reaction was more or less along the lines of "do i LOOK like a pedophile to you?" xD: of course, knowing the people i deal with around here, i followed up with 'don't answer that'.

I'm so glad to finished with that dating crap. With the same girl for 7 years, married to her for almost 2...

i still laugh at the memories of awkwardness. for as far as i have them, anyway.

on a completely unrelated note, my hair has recently taken up a vendetta against my eyes. it's driving me bonkers.

i've stumbled over this on TVTropes. i'd heard legends over on DeviantArt, but these guys are really having the time of their lives with this one. if you favor some hilariously snarky fanfic bashing, here you go:

chances are, your face will by locked in a wtf-expression for the rest of the day. i know mine is.

come to think of it, this is the biggest collection of bad writing tropes i have ever seen in a single article. it's quite impressive. my favorite bits so far:

"Snoop garbed the caramel and put it in his pocket." That's Snape, grabbed, and camera.

•So Bad You Keep Reading Because Your Brain Refuses To Accept That Anything This Bad Could Possibly Exist: Reading this fanfic is like activating a machine that fires cement blocks at your forehead. Each time you hit the "next chapter" button, the impact nearly knocks you from your seat and threatens to turn your brain into chunky salsa. Yet you keep pushing that button, partly out of the knowledge that (assuming you survive) you can only emerge stronger after this ordeal, partly out of respect for the twisted craftsmanship behind the hideous construct, and partly out of the mistaken belief that the next cement block couldn't possibly hurt as bad as the last one.
