The build 11 and BUGS .....

Just been inside the build 11 gamming all dayz since its released.

The SPITFIRE CHEAT works with the build 11.
(I installed the mod manually, it would not work with potcmodpatcher)
((I just had to try))

And this is what I can come up with. (alike my second thought on the build)

+ can NOT `Re-load` a gun while fighting, good thing
+ Lots of ships in/around the harbours, nice to see.
+ Chestlocks got boobitraps. very good thing.
+ Its NOT easy to gain levels, weapons is weaker to start with.
+ More dialog, more citisen in towns. and new NPC, its cool.
+ The Barbossa look a like in Oxbay, don't have everythings for sale
in the beginning of the game.. thats fine.
+ The new Menu, (F2) all those nice options, they works fine except the one.
+ Can NOT buy stuff and weapon unless the level is high enought.
+ More ships added.
+ Weapon quality, I like that.
+ Automatic `re-ini` when starting a new game, thats good.
+ Rep dayz added, good thing, a ship can NOT repair in a sec.
+ Easy change of start parm, tried to start with level50, and everythings waz able to be bought. easy change of start ship.
+ Most BUGs fixed from last build.
+ DEBUG mode, whatta good thing.

And the bad things.....(perhaps bugs)

- I could NOT load my old savegames, I think because I added ships and
weapons, and used them in my saves...
(solution, thats the answer addet ships and items)
- the xebec barbossa has got a cargo bug, while looting it came to
125680978 bombs, it is NOT possible to drop them overbord. and
gave a minus while selling it, and could NOT fire
bombs.. after selling all, and buy new eq. for the next journey
it worked again ....This also happened with the russian frigate, and only
while use "take all" command.
(solution, `re-load` and hittin "I", this must be an "take all" bug, this is caused by my cargo id, so its my own fault)
- I miss a blacksmith to repair the bad/worn weapons.(this is NOT a bug)
- And the Clair LaRousse quest got a bug, it crashes the game every time I try to arrive Oxbay Island. tried with "I", did not work
(solution, set DEBUG = 1(buildsettings.h), and after quest reverse
debug)
- `Ship-to`-ship transfer, did not work, the game crashed. (only in menu(F2))
(solution, `re-load` and hittin "I")
- Had a "invalid txt" window, while taking the french
officer, Massoni, out to the jungle, start of main q.
(solution, `re-load` and hittin "I")
- Crashes while eq. the fellow characters, in sea battle.
(solution, don't do it, unless at land.)
-The Anminist lair got a bug, CTD while app. Oxbay for the escort busisness.
(No solution yet)

For the Islands/Antipilago thingy.... I miss all the new islands ......
( this is NOT a bug )

BTW. I DID install the full version on top of a build 10.1, and while saving the program folder program.old I lost my own weapons and ships. but thats nothin, I can allwayz put them in again ...

Now I do NOT want to put in my own items, this weapon thingy is much more cool, but still miss the blacksmith...

BUT The Build v.11 is STILL a HELL of a job WELL DONE .......
I would NOT be without it ....... :cheers

I did change a special value, so I can reconize ships in the game at the shipyard, eg. a English frigate_2 cargo = 2511 (meaning that all english ships_type_2 has the calue added 11) and a english frigate_1 cargo = 2501, 2/22 for french and so on ..Pyrate ships added 5, so I only looks after my favorite ships, and not riscin buying a shitty ship ..... or a ship I do NOT like. And I enabled all ships for buying or taking over.
(this caused my cargo bug)

I like the texture files, from CatalinaThePirate.

yeah, maybe someone could make a blacksmith! that would be nice! a blacksmiths shop to repair ur swords...and also maybe during A LOT of battles with the same sword, itll get worn from time to time...just suggestion! :cheers
 
:cheers: Aw I'm just one of the "grunts" around the PMT, CaptJack. (my "title" is "guest modder") The real heroes are the ones that have been working on this expansion package for a very very very very VERY long time. I think since the release of PotC - or before - they were planning the addition of the SeaDogs islands to the PotC game... And it just grew from there...

The `Ship-to`-ship transfer worked fine for me, and I did quite a bit of it in one go.

It would be good to have a way to repair damaged items, or at least somewhere to have new items commisioned.

The tailor concept is quite fun. I had my bunch of officers dressed up as masked rogues and we went around terrorising people for a bit. :cheers

If this is going to be a thread to keep track of bugs, here are some of my observations:

1) Saving the game immediately after outfitting an officer (clothingwise, not weapons) DOES save the game but WON'T return to the game after saving.

2) Talking to a shipwright about which ship to repair but not actually choosing to repair a ship still takes two days or so.

3) Ships can actually sail with 0 crew (old bug, but I figured I mention it). You can't actually get anywhere in 3rd person view unless you do the "sail to" option, but once you enter the travel map you can sail no problems.

Also what is the function of the "SHIP BERTHING" button in the (F2) menu? Also can you no longer go to your cabin?
 
Ok I have solved some of thes issues myself.

SOLUTION: Removed my "Weathered Ships MOD" and all is well.

SOLUTION: NONE

so I guess what I would REALLY like to know is.....how do I keep my weathered ships? If I install the build and just buy new ships (which I don't really want to because the weatheded ones look like navy ships) then all is well. If I just do nothing the game will crash (this is bad! :cheers ) And if I add my "Weatered Ships" MOD then I can keep my ships but the other ships are limited to the four named above. PLEASE NK or someone can you help me? How do I add new ships using the new Build (BUILD 11) and not have it mess up the game?

YArr! Har be a wee bit o' feedback from Fred Bob in no particular order! 8)

1) Openin' Chests - If'n ye keep on tryin' tew open de chest, in spite o' booby traps an' stabbin' yer hand, ye will eventually git it open! Dis be by design or should de chest become unresponsive after de first try?

2) Shipyard Interface - Thar be plenty o' room fer some optimization here, as de interface sometimes be takin' 20 or 30 seconds tew load, sometimes makin' ye think ye locked up yer machine.

3) Coastraiders - Nice touch, but do they always have tew be thar? An' do they have tew be so close tew de harbor? An' does ye always has tew go into encounter mode, wid no access tew de world map? Fred Bob be feelin' like he be runnin' a blockade e'ery time he be leavin' port! Gonna play wid de settings later however...

4) Whar might Fred bob find his ol' favorite clothes fer de Portogee Swordsman?

5) Fred Bob like de Survival mod... gonna try a 'round wid it set tew 100% survival sometime... tired o' dyin' all de time!

6) Fred Bob like havin' surprises when enterin' homes... no mo' passive citizens!

7) Whar be Skelly Bobs gunboat?

8. Tailor Shop - Good idea... we might consider using de Loanshark buildin' interior since a tailor may very well be standing in front o' de customer, instead o' behind a counter...

I've encountered only one bug so far in an otherwise outstanding release. Twice now, I've run into a situation where I've found meself unable to exit the F1 and F2 menus. For instance: After saving a game, instead of placing me back all cozy comfy in the dangerous world we love, the savegame snapshots disappear and the buttons no longer function. Also, after auditioning sails for me newly, er, acquired lineship, the menu buttons stopped working, as did the Escape key.

As with most software bugs, they're like the buzz you get with cheap rum - inconsistent and difficult to reproduce.

Again, outstanding work by the PMT team. You take this game to new heights with every release, and I am grateful! :cheers Huzzah!!
 
i have one bug i ahve survival on 100 but when i wake up i cnt get out of the room the door to go to the rest of the tavern is locked
 
One more thing - I tracked down Gregor Samsa (sp? - aka the Barbosa clone) to try and nick meself a superior or masterpiece spyglass. Problem was, the bugger didn't have one! I'm guessing that it's available later in the game, or have things changed?
 
Yeah he doesn't have all the weapons like before...
