Some may recall that Inzane gave my permission a while back to modify the Surprise, and i refitted her with full amount of guns, less polygons and open gunports.

Well i decided to do another tune-up to her and gave her a nice set of gratings and a helm.
I intent to also give her a set of anchors and a longboat as well <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Nice, could you do something about the deck? So that it matches a bit with the decks we use in the latest alpha's?

Is this supposed to be a model of the actual <i>Surprise</i> or Jack Aubrey's <i>Surprise</i>? Because I think it would be nice to have a version of this particular ship with quarter galleries.

Are there versions of this ship in French, American, and Spanish colors? Because it is a perfect model of a classic Napoleonic frigate!
 
This is a modification of Inzane's Surprise, which I think was modeled after the "real" one and not the movie one.

Ah yes, i preferr the surprise own deck though, allthough it would be nice if it had been a bit higher res.
 
Can't you make a higher res version?
Personally I prefer a bit of uniformity between the decks of all the ingame ships so that you can't readily see where what ship came from.

No because that requires making the textures completely from scratch. And while i am a flag master, its basicly the only thing im actually good at texture wise. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />o)

I supose our beloved Surprise is already disponible in Build 14 Alpha 8, right? I cant stand the current one im flying now, with white guns, no helm and a damn sail in front of the bow guns that always get damaged when I shoot....
 
It is the latest released version of the Surprise that's in the Build. MM's new improvement isn't released yet. Seb did make an improved model that can be found on the FTP as La Boussoule (or something like that).

Indeed, any pointers you can give to help us model new stuff would be wonderful Inzane!
