appears my AVG comes up with a serious warning! So, I canceled! My AVG works very well,
and has given me very good service over the years!! Those Russians I like! That just goes

Some cracks are seen by quite a few antivirus software as trojans or viruses.That might be a possibility.The mod creators stated that their release it's starforce free, so I guess they included a cracked exe which is seen as virus.

P.S. We already found one translator in the English. Still several and in the very near future there will be translat, and to thirds of version English patch during the day of the output of Russian version!
P.S.S. Ask in the English forum Secrets of Far Seas in bestgamer forums. Then answer arrives more rapidly!

I have downloded the add-on yesterday and I have runned a scan upon the entire system drive, that says everything is OK, all systems good.
For whatever it is worth, I use Norton Corporate Edition, probably not the best antivirus but usually does the job.

True that while downloading I received a low risk warning that some contents might be harmfull, but nothing was quarantined or came with a mark. After restart the autoscan stated again, all systems good.

So i'm posting this for reference. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

My best guess would be that the heads-up I have experienced on the computer was just a warning in connection with the utilization of the Russian letters - which is certainly not standard for my computer behaviour... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> because I don't know the language unfortunately. I'll need to wait for some hints on what to do in the game. I love the idea with the queststart in the jail. Hope someone has the language skills -and time - for a reference guide in English

Start set-up with the options of the game except for the fact that there is only one main character is followed by a battlescene on a shipdeck and then you are incarcerated while the cell mate obviously tells you about the does and donts... where you basicly wished you knew some russian ... then you fight the jail captain fiercely and finally come out in what seems to be Tortuga...

Really fantastic start, I wish I had the feel for the language... some day perhabs...

I have played the first piece of it, and i LOVE it! I have translated 2 dialogs till now, those from the prison guards. And the logbook (new entries translated, other just copy and past from the english.) So the game is a bit more playable for me.

anyways if anybody needs help with translation from russian, i can help because we learned in ex-yugoslavia cyrilic letters and altough not russian, there are a lot of similiarities

yes, its very usefull tool, and for those in trouble with translations there are a plenty programms on the net that really can help with ingame dialogues
