Pre Build 13 Modpack

Yea,
Had the same problem with Tortuga. Blasted the fort, landed troops, fought through 3 scenes then it CTD.
So I tried again after completely rebooting my system & exactly the same thing happened again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
 
I'm not sure if the boarding locations for the Tortuga fort are present. Maximus changed some stuff there recently, but I haven't added all his changes into the modpack, because it's part of the AoP Tortuga town mod. Maybe it should add it... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
If the boarding locations aren't defined, that would explain why you can't land your troops. If you do, you will be teleported to an unexisting location, which would cause a crash. Right? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I finally find time to test the new Post build pack.

Iìve installed these pack on a fresh POTC installation (please tell me if I missed something or add too much):

1) build12_full.exe
2) post_b12_full.zip (02-May-06)
3) post_b12_upd_25-5-06.zip
4) post_b12_small_upd.zip (30-may-06 ?)
5) latest_bugfixes.zip (07-jun-06)

As usual after the build12_full.exe installation run RunMe.bat script (if I don't do so I can't heard some voices).

I think that I discovered the Buildsettings configuration to avoid CTD during fight (land, port or boarding):

LOOTDEAD_ON=1
CORPSEMODE=3

For some reason with this settings I no more have CTD during fight (no CTD after 6 hour of play with this settings).

I find very few bug in this release:

1) Small_Cabin and Crew_Cabin loading screen are missed.

2) After dead and resurrection I had blank name.

3) After some boarding without problem for a certain time my officers didn't followe me during boarding (however I always have full crew support during boarding).

4) When a enemy ship surrender on sea (during ship to ship fight) after I assign an officier to this ship and leave it, the boarding icon is still enable and I can boarding the ship even if it's already mine.
After win the second boading I have to identical ship in my fleet.

5) A CTD occurred after swapped a ship after win a boarding.

You will still get CTD's with
LOOTDEAD_ON=1
CORPSEMODE=3

When you are fighting outside Philipsburg & Marigot.I've tried it with & without LOOTDEAD on & it still crashes.

If you dont get any CTD's then you must be one of the very few that are blessed with no CTD's.

I've got through it now but i didn't have time to read any dialouge or work out what answer i was going to give...
it keeps happening when i'm going through important dialouge for quests. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
 
The only way I can get into Tortuga is by becoming a Pirate 1st then I'm able to moor & explore Tortuga.
Once there I found that although there is a Store there is no Store keeper other than that everything else works in Tortuga.

1. I took a lugger last night and it had cargo at overloaded at 3400/442. I hadn't seen that for
awhile.



2. The weapons locker is spawning weapons again. That was changed in the previous version.

Hello all,

I added most recent fixes into a new update. You can download it <a href="http://pieter.piratesahoy.org/downloads/post_b12_upd_11-6-06_small.zip" target="_blank">here</a>. This is a small update meant to be installed on top of the 30 May 2006 version. The full update is being uploaded right now and will be available from my site once it's done.

I hope this version fixes some more bugs. I tested for a bit and it seemed to work pretty well. The only bug I noticed so far was that I couldn't ransom my French prisoners.

Some stuff was changed in the goods department at the request of some people in another thread.

Some stuff with goods weight and store/cargo hold interfaces. You shouldn't notice any changes, but it should take care of the comments being given in another thread. I hope so anyway. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

BTW: I did some boardings, but I didn't notice any extraordinary crew losses now. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I noticed when I tired to buy powder and bullets in Redmond that part of the dialouge doesn't show up. In the intro it says you can by bullets and powder, but the dialogue won't open for that purchase.

Every thing else seems fine.

Great the one major change that I liked was the buying powder and shot for pistols from Redmond....now its gone??????

I am sure we can get it fixed, I may have missed that we have to toggle something in buildsettings
now.

It is all part of the process of getting the new build ready, and it is really rather minor don't you think?

I mean it has no real impact on game play.

Sorry about the Redmond trader. I made a stupid mistake. Open up "Thomas O'Reily_dialog.c" and find the following code:

Remove the "<b>!</b>". It should read "if(ENABLE_AMMOMOD)" instead. This code made it so that the restock ammo option WILL show when the ammo mod is NOT on and WON'T show if it IS on. To giuliootto: What fort do you mean? The one seen from 3D sailing mode? Or the one seen when walking around the town? If it is the second, run English.bat; that migth fix it.

To SilverHawk: I don't know if you need to start a new game. I always recommend people to start a new game so we know for sure that their bugs are not caused by incompatible savegames. But you can try loading a savegame, pressing "I", then continue playing and see how it goes. With a bit of luck, it works. And if it doesn't, start a new game after all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Pieter I'm not really sure, but pretty sure that after talking to you earlier today I came to fix the Thomas Riley dialogs....and I found at least two other places where the use of <!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->if(!ENABLE_AMMOMOD)<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> has been used.....do they all need to be changed from the "!" ???

The funny thing is as of this moment I still haven't found the one in your example....yet!
