I don't think we should be going that route though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

Yes, they are incapacitorially inexplicable, inevitably though there will be some intrusion of this rather interesting idea. In the event of its implementing we must tone down the intensity of this idea to ideally allow Disney to indicate its implementing in their grand installment.........savvy?

See? Jack-speak isnt hard, you just have to look for the opportune moment to implement it...honestly.

It really would be. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> I wonder if we could get away with a quick reference to it and leave it at that and see who picks up on it?

Now that be Jackspeak. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

It may be worth it mate just to give it a quick mention and see whose ears are sharp enough to pick up on it, savvy? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />

One thing on the Jack-speak: I think that rather than Jack using the same complicated words and phrases, he should say completely new and unexpected things as often as possible. Sure there's be some recurring phrases ("Why is the rum gone?"), but if we use the same words as he used in the current films, our script will read too much like a fan script, rather than like a script that is actually intended to be made into a real film.

AAAAAAh, smart man! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Without question it should be fresh and new. Saying the same three or four sentences over and over would get tiring.

Anything Jack says must pass the 'Londoner' test. Sparrow's drunk Keith Richards accent is based on an East London accent, ergo unless the line sounds 'proper' in an Eastender voice then it ain't going to pass muster. His laboured use of long words, to my ears, sounds like an uneducated man who has overheard some gent talking and ain't entirely sure what the words mean. In general his sentences are overly long, somewhat artificial sounding, often featuring excessive use of adjectives listed one after the other and frequently with decidely dodgy grammar. Actually not dissimilar from my own speech, according to a 'well meaning' work colleague.

Couldnt have said it better, but Sparrow i say is somewhat sarcastic and rather random at times, thats why he is funny.

Not going to argue with a Londoner. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> But you do get the impression that Jack does know exactly what he's talking about and knows the meaning of the words he chooses.

Sarcastic always, he loves to constantly probe others with his wordplay.

Jack knows what he's saying and knows the meaning of the long words, I think. He uses them on purpose to confuse the people he's talking to. I bet he could talk like any normal person if he wanted to. I also think his dodgy grammar is also very much on purpose. He wants people to think him a crazy lunatic and nothing to worry about, but in reality he's a truy smart man and not the least bit mad. A bit weird, to be sure, but definitly not insane. A bit like myself, actually. Sometimes I also use needlessly complicated words, just for the sake of not saying something the ordinary way. My parents don't always appreciate that; they then need to think for five minutes before they get me.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Gentlemen of Fortune was a possible title someone on the IMDb brough up. Might be a nice one for a PotC film, or else perhaps for the Build mod at some point.

Good stuff:

Pieter Sparrow. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

I agree with your analysis, though I do think that Jack has been wearing his mask for so long he'd find it rather hard to take off now.

There is something about that title that intrigues me. It may work for the sequel.
