Thanks, but I think I'm going to fix that myself.
I actually started yesterday.
Back when I was working on that ship I asked if the Ships_init.c was the only place that needed editing to increase cannon, but no one had an answer. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Now, I've tested and found that indeed, you have to have the cannons defined in the model.gm file as well.
If not, the ship will not use the right amount of ammo per volley, nor do the cannons do the damage equal to that expected of the number of cannons defined in the Ships_init.c alone. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />
I'm going back to actually add in the cannon locators in the gm so that my Merchantman actually does fire 10 (perhaps 11 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
