New Location-specific Loading Screens

silly question,but how do i make a screen shot? and does the game haft to be in windowed mode? cause if so i may have to reinstall my game
cause some how my computer can't open the config file in my potc file <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> ,though it may just be my computer,darn thing.
 
F8. you might want to use this converter so you can upload them more easily. it turns the pictures upside-down though, so you'll have to flip them back over afterwards. and don't check 'adjust lighting'.
 
You can take screenshot in two ways:
1) Press PrintScreen on the keyboard, open Paint then press Paste (Ctrl+V). This is easiest in windowed mode, otherwise you'd need to close and restart the game after each screenshot.
2) Press F9 during the game. The screenshot will be saved in TGA format in your main game directory.

well, quality has nothing to do with it. more of the right camera angle. and yes, you can use fraps as well.

better just try both buttons. printscreen works as well, i think, but i'm not sure.
 
PrintScreen certainly does work - I use it all the time - only you need paste in Paint for that. Might be F8 as well; don't remember. Try both. Fraps not required. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />
The screenshots don't need to be works of art, as long as they're functional and relatively good-looking. It helps to use the tricks described in this thread's first post:<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Some tricks for making good loading screens:

What we need are screenshots of all the various town locations that either have wrong loading screens (Redmond on Cuba, for example), no proper loading screens (Antigua) or have the town name on the loading screen (most town locations).
 
ok,thank you,good thing fraps not required cause i have no clue what that is lol,and sorry for spelling,worst subject in school,though i've been reading at adult level since i was 12 so go figure lol.
 
It's F8 for screenshots; I just checked. F9 is most useful as well though: It hides the game interface, so you get a clean screenshot. If you have a recent enough modpack version, that is... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_confused.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="icon_confused.gif" />

ok here's one,may be to big,i'll work on resizing them,this one is in isla muelle port.
i'm using buildmod 13 final,and F9 doesn't work aparrently,i tried the alphas but they aren't stable enough,reminds me of aop <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" /> i'll wait on a beta atleast,but 13 final is good till then.hmm, won't let my upload,says i'm not permitted to upload a file of this type,i'll keep trying though,got a few of isla muelle(sp?) and antigua wanted to show,oh well will try again later.

Must be GIF or JPG. Save your screenshot as JPG, then try again.
The F9 key was added in one of the Alphas; not sure which.
 
Weird ZIP-file you've got there. It asks me for the second part of the archive. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
