Suddenly we're getting all sorts of new comments on the 2014 Development Trailer I posted at the end of last year.
I wonder where they're all coming from? Near-silence for weeks and now several comments in one day.
Not complaining though; they are being positive. :cheeky

Maybe its a flow on effect from ravens cry ? a few people going from a disappointment looking for a title to be hopeful about :shrug
 
Not impossible. I think there indeed were quite a fair few people out there looking forward to Raven's Cry.
And reading a few AC4 trailer YouTube comments show that while many people do like it, a substantial amount also have reservations about that game's approach.
Surprisingly (or perhaps not), many people seem to have been put off a bit by the arcadey-ness and lack of believability in its approach.

Yep, it has been serving its purpose quite nicely! And you did a great job on it too. I still rewatch it once in a while. :cheeky

That is also why I wanted a new one. Because as interesting as the developer blogs are, they do cater to a much more limited audience.

I'm beginning to get quite dubious on those YouTube comments. They may be like the weirdest type of spam I have ever seen.
Very few seem to be related to the actual video. And now one mentioned vocals yet there are none.
Doesn't seem to make any sense.
 
The internet works in mysterious ways , lets just hope its not a bad thing :/

Edit: went on and had a look and honestly it kinda creeped me out it seems like some kind of paid promotion going on.

Our FB page has only had 7 likes this week which is usual and does not match the sudden jump of activity on our youtube.

You got me curious and I went and watched it again and read the comments. Maybe I didn't see them all but most were normal. There was one bot, one guy promoting himself, and one who posted about racing, so he was just lost. Did I miss some other comments?
 
YouTube activity almost never correlates with Social Media activity. YouTube is Anonymous-- Facebook is not.

The point is that there seems to be a very sudden increase in number of comments.
These comments are, while positive, seemingly not about the actual video at all.
Some appear very generic and then there are the ones about racing, vocals in the music and some others.
Indeed there is nothing that appears particularly "evil" but it does strike me as being really quite bizarre.
 
Theyre gone O.O is this just me , can you look again pieter ? i dont see any of the comments that were there before...


just double checked the 2013 trailer has 21,000 views and the 2014 one has 5,000 and the weird comments.

If you think those comments are weird... wait till we actually start getting popular and the bots really start nailing us. The Youtube comments section is more susceptible to bots and trolling than reddit! A real script kiddie paradise.
