Why, just today, I was over on IM near the church with Lara.
We were looking for a good spot to get the interface portraits for my latest hire, India.
Then, lo and behold, we runs into a fine lass named Aine, a leannan sidhe for sure!

She asks to join our crew right there and then, how can a man refuse?

Just got myself PotC last week and first thing I did was to look for patches and mods - that is how I found this place! And a very nice Build 12 too, whee! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Silly as I am, the first, well, uh, second thing I did was to started editing all files so I could be the High Sea Lass in the game that I wanted - all dialogue I could find (often by spotting them in the game) I edited all main character references into "woman", "lady", "Miss" or "ma'am" or "lady" and so on. Only took me a few days, heh... I'd offer it if I had kept track of what changes I did where, but since I got a few other mods and edited out a couple of things I doubt it would sail... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />

Mossing, yes. Been doing it for myself with Morrowind and other games, I like poking around like that. Anyway, I like this game, as I liked <b>Pirates!</b>, but the Build really lifts it. And these female skins helps me with my pet peeve of playing a lady pirate, har har... har? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huhh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:k" border="0" alt="huhh.gif" />

I suspect I may come to request a, uh... a "skin-slot" (ewww! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sick.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eww" border="0" alt="sick.gif" />) sooner or later, as I am more into graphics (and music...) than anything else... Sure, I can understand the code, but I don't enjoy it as much as some pirates, uh, folks here do.

Yes, Hu Kwan Do, I too wish I could make my own model, or tweak her at least. Sure, I could <i>make </i>a model but a) it would be horrid, b) I am not into skeletons at all and c) I rather modify some of the existing models.

As for c), well, I have not been able to export the female models with the arms rased to 90 degrees - they fly way up above and I cannot seem to lower them again... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> Or is that just me?

Hmm, not sure if I should mention it here, but since it is a bit related... Would it at be possible to change the build so that all the references other characters make would be correct in terms of the gender of the main character - and say, "switch places" with the default Nathaniel and Danielle to keep a potential love story going? The "love story" thing would be quite difficult to change as Danielle has so much to do with the main quest - you'd have to have a whole separate Nathaniel-as-Danielle set of main quest files. Again, a HUGE task.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but the majority of people here, if you haven't noticed, are male... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" /> You'd be modding for an extremely limited audience, and this mod would have to be be separate from the main Build collection as an add-on or plugin...
