Yes, it happens occasionally. This is due to the NPC characters having a certain path to walk - and stop - and sometimes they collide and stop together. It's possible that after a while (if you're patient), the wharf rat will eventually walk away (I never waited) - but if you're IMPATIENT, well, killing the guy will work - however you might suffer a hit on your reputation for killing an unarmed man.

As for the rat, can you talk to him, after talking they usually move.

No, Admiral8Q, you can't talk to either Boon OR the wharfie. Once they are not standing together (if the wharfie moves), you can probably talk to both of them - Boon should stay where he is, and you'll probably have to chase the wharfie to catch him...

Peculiar, but true...

And MadJack, leave Vassal alone, he is from the Philippines and slang there is much different than in the USA. :p:

PIRATES DONT FALL IN LOVE!! (except for Calico Jack Racham! man he was a total Gigolo, he slept with TWO VERY famous pirates...mary read, and i forget de other one. they were pregnant, therefore saving their lives when getting captured...ol Calico got hung do... :rolleyes: ) :cheers: cheers Cat!

She's such a troublemaker (and not in a good way, LOL), it doesn't make sense that he'd put up with her nonsense for long. I mean... She goes off on her own, does her own thing - stabs him, for goodness sakes! Heck, the only one who is a bigger problem than Danielle is that Nigel Blythe guy!!! :p3

as for me beautiful jenny, well we are going to prom this year...we have stuck together from thick to thin...nothing will break us away! :yes
 
Bloody hell! I infiltrated Oxbay, got the document from the French Captain, killed him :p3 ,sailed to Faliase de Fleur, posed as the escort or the Oiseau, tracked down and sank same, and the quest book reset itself!

I'm bloody done with running quests for now. The Dutch seem to have some quarrel with me, seeing as how I commandeered one of their warships. I think I'll spend me days aggravating the Dutch and harassing the French. At least until the new build comes out... :yes
