Modders in the Game

Choosing your own model doesn't sound narcistic to me. I chose my own model as well and so did Pirate_KK. I just put Henry Morgan in there as a temporary placeholder. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
 
But I mean, making me own as a character within no time <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
 
A quick update:
I have added the following modders to the game so far, (I have some in QC as I ran out of space on Turks <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />o) )

(in no particular order)

Pieter Boelen, Ines Diaz, Bartolomeu O Portuguese, I have not included as they have their own inclusion in other parts of the game.

I have not necessarily used the correct model for each character yet (but this is something that can easily be modified later)

All, have, or are involved in, quests. Each different, or at least a little different, one from another. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />

If I have missed anyone, they can of course be added later as well.

I hope this meets with everyone’s (or at least most people’s) approval for now.
 
Sounds good to me. Am I still in the modder scene on Turks though? Since I'm being used fairly frequently as some sort of Turks-leader, it would make some sense to have me there. On the other hand, perhaps Nathan Kell should completely replace me in that respect if he's to become governor of Turks.
What kind of TECHNICAL problems are you having with Catalina? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

BTW: Ines Diaz doesn't really have her own modder-related purpose in the game. She named her forum member name after the QC tavern owner, but she was already in the stock game. Would be good if you could add some modder-fun in her dialog at one point in the quest. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

As for Skull, the general suggestion was to have him replace Isenbrandt Jurcksen after the standard main quest is over.

IS she the last character in the file? If not, then my suggestion is DEFINITLY not the case. If so, then swapping her with another character should allow you to quickly find out.
Anyway there's a good chance I'm talking nonsense here; it's just that I remember that was the cause last time we had clones. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Another thing, I see a reference in the code to character "Skull", but he is not loaded through the storyline init file. Instead he completely replaces Isenbrandt Jurcksen. Also in the Jack Sparrow quest Ines Diaz wouldn't use her new dialog, because she uses the default. If you want an old character to use a new dialog file, you must add this character again to the Storyline's character init folder with the same ID and same dialog file. The dialog file will then be loaded from the Storylines folder instead. See comment re time in the previous post - The dialog change required DOES work as I have already used that for the soldiers in the Jack Sparrow story.

By the way, the swimming mod seems, sometimes (depending on his initial position when you land), to encourage one of the NPC characters to "have a quick dip" when you get to Nevis. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

As for Pirate_KK, could you please change his name to "Konrad Kulczycki"? That's his real name and is used in the Jackpot sidequest by Bartolomeu as well. I already changed that in my game version, if you're interested.

In my main quest, I already created a governor on Turks and for Roxanne Lallière I use the 9Cata model. So do I have to make some changes ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
We can certainly keep your code for the Turks governor. But we could rename him in Nathan Kell.
I do see some possible problems occurring when we use the Turks townhall filled with all those modders. Easiest to just take on of them and use him as governor as well. Otherwise we'd have to remove the governor, put the modders in instead and then explain that as well. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
In any case, Turks DOES need a real governor.

Changed Pirate_KK's name (Sorry about that didn't know his real name) and his quest is working as far as it goes (not uploaded yet).
Got Morgan to talk - but now, after making changes, get the same model issue as you see on my main computer. (not uploaded yet).
I can make Catalina talk but only in instant dialog - so I have some sort of error here - will look later.
