Making a New Quest

Troll-warning? Some of this is getting to be too much, and very questionable, in my opinion.
I remember a specific indecent much like this one.

I'm not telling you to leave. Just to tone it down. Try to solve problems before posting here, the answers are often very clear. Look harder to see if a question has already been answered in the thread you're posting in, because it probably has.

I'm not telling you to leave, and I apologize if it sounds that way. I don't have a problem the number of questions you ask, or that you don't know those things. Only that it seems that you post all of your questions without thinking about the answer first.
 
Scarley, we are always willing to help you out and point you in the right direction.
But if I may bring up an example....

When you asked for the older Build versions, I gave you the link to the old PotC Build Mod ModDB downloads page, stating that you can find Build 13 and Build 12 there.
Then you said you couldn't find Build 12, despite it being right there on the page, just a little bit further down.
That is something you could have figured out yourself, wouldn't you agree?
Now I don't mind myself, but on the other hand, I am also very short on time.

Basically, everything you don't have to ask is a win-win situation to us all.
You still find your answer and you don't have to wait for us, while we don't have to answer it either.
However, if you can't figure it out on your own, by all means go right ahead and ask here. :doff

Yeah he's absolutely right Scarley, like I said before it's always the best way to discover things by yourself. When I played the game for the first time I also had a lot of questions just like you do but when I've discovered this site and I starting reading it I discovered a lot of things I doesn't know yet without asking and I know very much of the game now so I've made a account here a couple of days ago to see if I can help people but you really really ask much questions and a lot of questions are already be answered so let me give you one tip: READ THE THINGS THAT ALREADY ON THIS SITE CAREFULLY AND READ THE OTHER FORUMS. I'm sure you'll learn a lot there and that means you don't have to ask it. I think that's the win win situation Pieter means but if you really really can't find it you can always ask it but do it in one thread and don't 'spam' or the staff can ban you and then you can't even ask anymore.

I'm not a staff member but I've seen the same things as they do about your questions and I hope you will understand this and I have helped you with this :D

Do it Scarley and I'm sure it will be al okay :D

Anyway it was along the lines of this is the best community I have ever seen, I really love you guys

@Scarley: Man just follow some quests, open them in notepad++ and see what's going on, I had partial success with learning how to create quests before (as you see I asked almost the same question in this thread), what you want to do is
1. find a easy quest with minimal events (as simple as talking to a NPC and the particular NPC give you 2 dialog option, it's not particularly a real quest but it's a good start)
2. open quest in notepad
3. try to understand why such events happen in the game (why if you chose first dialog option, NPC response is answer 1)
4. try to create the same thing on your game
5. if it was a success try to make it more complicated or if there was problem see what's wrong (simplest way is to compare your files with the example quest) and go to 4.
6. you are confidant that you have learned everything about this quest? try to find a more complicated quest go to 2 and repeat.
