Limited inventory

I remember when I played SLiB mod on PotC... There ewery item had weight and used some inventory space... I wanted to ask, if is that kind of mod in build (mightbe turned off???)... Or might be there will be one??? Becouse I hate that there is unlimited inventory on simple pirate... And also that mod will make more use of captain cabin stash <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

i think that'd be a good idea, actually. however, i fear it would clash with the autoloot mod, automatically filling up your space while you don't want it to. but that can be turned off.

I would very much like to have this in the Build, but like usual somebody'd need to work on it. I do think it'd improve gameplay, especially with the "loot dead" mod. Right now you have to loot all corpses manually, but you can take everything anyway. Now if you can only carry a certain weight, it becomes much more important what to loot and what to leave. This in turn implies that you can't loot too much and therefore will get less money from doing so. That should work better for gamebalancing. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

my thoughts exactly, though i hadn't even considered the fact that the player is getting too much money.

Since when can a pirate have too much money? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

That does sound like a good idea - it makes other games that have it far more interesting, like Oblivion or Two Worlds.

gwe need more of those gameplay-adding things. right now it's a bit too jumbled. i often loose perspective of my actual goal. the main quest seems more like something that briefly drops in once in a while than the most important thing.

I agree with everything, that is written here.... Hope someone will sit on that....

wait.... what? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

What What???

?? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

That someone will sitt for some time, forget all the world around, and make that code... Or simplie Work...
Sorry, didn't knew, that notewery one will understan that <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />, that phrase is usable where I live <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

limited inventory is a nice idea but (for me) i will prefer turning that off <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Pirate_KK is working on this. I'm not sure if he actually started work on it or is just planning it, but it is on the agenda. Should help making Build 14 more realistic. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

I would turn it off too. Not every thing that makes a game harder is more realistic, sometimes it's just the opposite.
In Oblivion, you are almost always alone, and are realistically limited by your characters strength.

In POTC, once you get past the first few levels, you <b>realistically</b> have officers, a landing party, and hundreds of crew members.

It would be total foolishness, to have to stop in the middle of looting after a big win and say:
"Oh, Drat! How am I ever going to get all this stuff back to my ship?
I can't possibly carry it all! Oh, and you men ... take the rest of the day off, you've earned it!"

This is one I'd definitely turn off.

Any chance of getting some bugs fixed along the way?

Hook

I'd love to have this turned on. That would make use of stash in ships and officers inventory...

now that you mention it, i never quite saw the use of the stash in your cabin. i'd have limited inventory turned off though.

There should certainly be a toggle on it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
As for bug fixes: I imagine Pirate_KK fixes any bugs he runs into. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
