The Queen Mary II is visiting Sydney at the moment, Biggest
Passenger Liner ever built. The Queen Elizabeth II is there at
the same time and looks very tiny next to the Mary!

I have seen the Queen Mary II and she is indeed a monstosity <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" /> Just looking at her, you'd think she'd tip over. I bet Thomas Andrews is turning over in his water grave...twice <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />


Note: For those that don't know, Thomas Andrews designed the Titanic.

I had a good look at your Photos, but where is the one in Uniform?

I haven't got a photo of me in uniform yet. And I still only have a temporary uniform anyway. In any case: Currently I am in the engine department and the coveralls are considered to BE the uniform there. The engine officers don't very much like their real uniforms, although I do. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I'm actually posting this from the Sheraton in Freeport, Grand Bahamas. My view is excellent, the Caribbean really is worth visiting. The only thing that I could do without is all the idiot spring breakers.

College students on Spring Break vacation
 
You know, the folks that seem to get some sort of moral uplifting from getting totally destroyed on a beach, vomiting all over themselves, and generally ruining the vacation for anyone else within a one mile radius?

I'm convinced that these assholes have singlehandedly created the overseas impression that all Americans are lazy, loud-mouthed, selfish, drunken louts.
 
As you have probably noticed: I am back. I now also put a whole bunch of photo's up on <a href="http://pieterboelen.spaces.live.com/" target="_blank">my weblog</a> for your enjoyment. I will add some more Alaska and Canada ones later this week.
 
So once again the time has come to take my leave of you. Tomorrow I take the plane to Barcelona and I will spend most of the remainder of the year on the Zuiderdam again, cruising the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Of course I will try to drop in from time to time and still do what I can, but don't count on too much from me for a while.

You'll be in good hands in the meantime. William is working on the site again and Thomas the Terror and damski62 will both keep in touch with William and Mr. Edward Zaitsev. I'll be here for another day, but I'll mostly be busy packing. So I wish you the very best and see you all next time! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
