yeah, I supposed that.. so, if I enable the DSmod, I have to jump off, save and then return to the 3d mode.
But in the read-me of the mod there's this line "<i>Directsail works only if you are in a sealocation that contains an island. If you are at "open sea" it doesn't work cause that location is the same no matter where on the worldmap you enter it, so it is impossible to determine the data on neighbouring islands that directsail needs.</i>.
So it seems that, if I sail in 3d mode for a bit, then go to the world-map to save, I cannot return to the direct-sailing mode: this makes the direct-sailing experience a bit hard, unless you have 5 or 6 hours to sail from an island to the other without interruption <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
